Excellent facility and outstanding people! Gad and Sophie and their team - especially Zac - took wonderful care of my father while he lived there for nearly two and a half years. I visited often and never had reason to question any aspect of the care they provided. During his last few weeks, when he was in hospice there, the hospice nurse (from an unrelated agency) remarked to me that of the many group homes and assisted living facilities where she would visit patients, Oakwood was one of the best she had seen. I wholeheartedly recommend them.
Toured facility and met with team to coordinate providing yoga and yoga therapy services. Met all the residents and it was such a great experience. Clean, welcoming home and staff. Residents seem really happy and well cared for there. Sophie is amazing. We can't wait to provide yoga there!
When my father was living at Oakwood, the care he received was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment he arrived, the caretakers treated him with so much compassion, dignity, and genuine love that it truly felt like a home and a family environment. Gad, Sophie, and the entire team went above and beyond every single day to make sure my dad was comfortable, safe, happy, and cared for. Knowing he was receiving his medications on time, eating well, and getting help whenever he needed it took an enormous weight off my shoulders. But what meant the most was the human connection they gave…

Gad, Sophie, and the entire team went above and beyond every single day to make sure my dad was comfortable, safe, happy, and cared for. Knowing he was receiving his medications on time, eating well, and getting help whenever he needed it took an enormous weight off my shoulders. But what meant the most was the human connection they gave him. They didn’t just care for him — they truly cared about him. My dad became very close with his caretakers, and they made him feel valued, seen, and loved. One of the most special things was that they always welcomed my dad’s dog to come visit every weekend, which brought him so much joy and comfort. Those visits meant everything to him, and the staff embraced it with kindness and warmth. Gad would even surprise my dad with his favorite meals and spend time with him just talking and hanging out like buddies. Those moments made such a difference in my father’s quality of life. During one of the hardest periods of my life, this team gave me peace of mind knowing my father was not only being taken care of, but truly being loved. I will forever be grateful for the compassion, patience, and humanity they showed my dad and our family.
The care given to my dad was wonderful. The caregiver and team were thoughtful, kind, and went above and beyond to help us. They allowed me to have peace of mind knowing my dad was safe and well cared for. We were blessed to find this caring group in our time of need.
I knew the minute I met Sophia and her husband that this was the place. My Mom was well cared for. The caregivers were excellent. They all were loving. The care was exceptional. I will always be grateful. Great communication. We worked as a team to give my Mom the best possible care. I was very lucky to have found such a wonderful place.
Caregivers genuinely CARE. Such a lovely comfortable place that feels like home, rather than a “care facility.”
Both of my in-laws have been at Oakwood Assisted Living for 7 months. We could not have found a better place than Oakwood. ZAC and SLEE , the caregivers are outstanding. We are so relieved that they are under their care. They constantly communicate with us and make us feel like this is our second home. Sophie and Gad , the owners, also welcome us with open arms. It's a blessing to be part of this team! To God be the Glory!!
I'm glad to share with you. These people protecting, nurturing, and compassionate with everyone. Al has been there about a year now. He has a caregiver named Simon. He's great. Al thinks Simon is his best friend. Al can never remember his name, so he is Bubba. Thank God for Bubba!!!
