I had a horrible experience with an employee who was incredibly rude and disrespectful. She would not listen to my questions or concerns and instead just yelled at me. I don't understand how any human could be that careless and rude to anyone, especially when I was completely calm and genuine while talking to her. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for an assisted living facility for themselves or a family member.
The Beehive Homes of Gilbert is a unique residence being 22 beds. The Beehive is small enough to offer personal care and attendance, while being large enough to offer aspects of a larger "community." It has proven to be perfect for my loved one. He is well cared for, I'd even say loved, by his caregivers and the rest of the staff. The staff is well trained. The management cares deeply about the workings of the residence and is hands on. The ratio of caregivers is good. The Activity Director has quite the variety of activities planned and gets the residents up and out to do, each at their…

The Activity Director has quite the variety of activities planned and gets the residents up and out to do, each at their level. The kitchen! Oh my, the kitchen is amazing! Chef Rodney offers breakfast to order, he bakes cookies and other deserts fresh every day, and he IS a chef. He serves the residents amazing meals that are well balanced, beautiful and varied. The Beehive lucked out when Chef Rodney came to work! Not everyone wants or needs a swimming pool, a tennis court, or a bus to go shopping. For residents who simply want to LIVE, to be cared for, the Beehive fits the bill perfectly. The Beehive is small, the Beehive is caring, the Beehive is a perfect place for my loved one.
If you look at my previous reviews you will see one for another assisted living facility where things went very poorly with my step-mother. Well, it has been the opposite at Beehive they have done amazingly well with her and 6 months later she is doing very well and has adjusted to living at Beehive. It has been a giant stress relief and allowed me to focus fully on the last few months of my dad’s life. What a blessing. And what a fantastic staff at Beehive. It is less like a facility and truly more just like a home. Highly recommend.
BeeHive Homes of Gilbert only had 20 patients, so it's quite small. I didn't see my husband there at all. I think he would sit in a chair all day, and the people were quite old. Not that he's not old, he's 81, but he looks a lot younger, and his Alzheimer's is moderate to severe. The place looked like a regular building. They didn't even have a sign out front. It took me a while to find the place. The sign was on the building and not on the road, so it lacked signage. The room was alright. The tour guide was very nice. It looked clean. It was alright; it just wasn't for us.
I went to look at BeeHive Homes of Gilbert. They have very professional staff. I love the cleanliness. They were very responsive when I said I was interested. Of all the places I toured, they were at the top of my list. They have daily activities in the main great room that are kind of limited, which suited my mom perfectly. They have very spacious bedrooms that would accommodate a full bedroom set and a queen-sized bed. I saw the residents, and they just appeared to be well cared for. The staff was very knowledgeable. She was a nurse, too, which was really nice. She provided a lot of information and seemed caring. The facility was very clean and organized. It was a secure unit, which was nice.
Jennifer and her team have been nothing short of amazing! So grateful for her!
My mom, who was a national advocate for end-of-life palliative care, is a resident at Beehive with dually-diagnosed dementia. (quite a turning of roles) The Beehive facility is very fresh, well-maintained, and the setting is bright and home-like. What has impressed me most, however, has been the personnel. From the moment we stepped into beehive and met Jennifer, I was blown away. Placing a loved one in any kind of 'not-my-own-home' setting is a difficult and emotional journey - filled with doubt and fear. We toured a number of different places and Beehive was, for us, such a standout community, chapters could not contain the different initial reasons, and now stories of their excellent work. Stories of care and help - stories of honest, even difficult conversations - and stories of hope and a work ethic that should be emulated by all of us. During this - the most difficult season of moms life, and for SURE the most difficult season of my own - Jennifer, Claudia, and their entire team has welcomed my family into the process, has honored our requests, and has helped shape and guide this final chapter of mom's life into a chapter full of love, care, concern, and above all - the utmost dignity. I will never waver in my thankfulness for this team of caregivers who work so diligently to provide great care, healthy chef-prepared meals from scratch (or near-scratch) and welcome us to be as involved as we are able to be. I truly LOVE this team.
Awesome place
