Witnessed verbal and slight physical abuse of a dementia patient in my room. Reported the person and asked it be kept confidential, don't tell my name. The offending worker came and asked me if I had reported him the next night. While I stayed there I had many blood draws, nurses left bloody gauze, used syringes and bloody bandaid on the foot of my bed and on the floor against the wall. They have some wonderful people working here, but I have to say also many that just don't care. I was on oxycodone every 6 hrs. 10mg. The midnight dose only sporadically came. They have some wonderful people working here, but I have to say also many that just don't care. I was on oxycodone every 6 hrs. 10mg. The midnight dose only sporadically came. I suspect stealing and selling of opiates. I could add to this but I think you can get the gist with this. Not a great place to be sick in. I had pain in my upper back, Dr. Said it was sore muscles...next day I lost consciousness while having my vitals taken, ended up in Banner baywood hospital with 104.5 deg. Temperature and pneumonia. Dr. Played dumb, said I must have aspirated something thru my oxygen nose. Only thing is I had been weaned completely off oxygen the week prior. Bad bad bad place. One more thing, you press the call light button, scream out the door,( I could barely stand or walk) and you might get lucky and have somebody respond in 10 minutes or more. I felt helpless, I was miserable sick and couldn't stand up for myself like I'm used to, and got sicker while I was there.

If you have any hopes of your loved one getting better and NOT declining, ABSOLUTELY DO NOT SEND THEM HERE! If I could give this so called rehabilitation 0 stars, I would. Let's talk about PAM first, she is the RUDEST worker there, disrespectful, degrading, and LAZY! Does not care about the patients at all! My mother was sent to the hospital and I reached out to inform her and she had the audacity to tell me she couldn't accept my call at 12:30 PM bc she had her own problems to deal with LATER. She will do everything in her power to get your loved one to NOt Be discharged even when you're…

She will do everything in her power to get your loved one to NOt Be discharged even when you're adamant on it happening, even getting unnecessary antibiotics administered through a pic line for an "infection" that was NEVER infected. Second, the food is AWFUL. I would never even serve my dog the stuff they server to those who matter the most to us, in 2 weeks my Mom lost 20 lbs! Third, meds are always late and never on time and they gas light the residents into thinking they were administered when they NEVER were, leaving pts in pain, I can't tell you how many times I was there and heard MULTIPLE people yelling for help bc they too were in pain. 4th, in 2 weeks, my mother received two showers and that's because I GAVE THEM TO HER! on a day she was supposed to have her third shower, they never even came for her and just skipped it all together, the following day, I brought it up to the cna working that day and was informed a lot of people didn't get showers and she will make sure she gets one. That shower never came because my mom's surgeon readmitted her into the hospital for a surgery that could have been prevented had wound care and good hygiene been happening, but nope, everyone's always nose deep in their PERSONAL phones not giving 2 craps what's happening to their residents as long as they get paid. 5th- physical therapy consist of walking a lap around the nurses station most days and they coax the patients into saying they're done and don't want to do no more... so that he you're told you're getting of PT, is really only 10-15 mins MAX. Horrible workers can run a place into the dirt and that's exactly what's happened here. I will say, the cna ROSEY , is AMAZING. Desert blossom does NOT deserve her. Avoid this place at all cost. Don't fall for the fake smiles and lies they spew during the tour and meeting. Run, run fast.

This place is terrible. Do not take a family member here. The food is terrible. They put you on medication that isn’t needed. They do not take care of you like they’re supposed to my grandmother ended up back in the hospital having to have surgery again because they were supposed to be doing wound care and they were not and the lady that runs the place is a total joke. You ask her for something and she never comes back or you can just never find her and she is very rude along with a lot of the staff here and it stinks really bad. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The smell is so…

Everyone is really awesome and caring and helpful with all my needs. The Physical Therapist Are All So Amazing and Helpful And Tend To Patients Needs And Concerns. They Feed Three Times A Day And I Have Nothing Bad To Say About Desert Blossom and Their Staff. This List Is To Long To List! Thank You Desert Blossom For Such A Pleasant Stay ♥️

I want to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional care my mother, Norma L, has been receiving over the past few months. The staff has been absolutely wonderful, and it brings me immense joy to see her so happy and well cared for. Your kindness and understanding towards her have made a significant difference in her life, especially considering the health challenges she has faced recently. Words truly can't capture how much we appreciate everything you’ve done. Thank you for being a source of support during this time!

This is a really nice place I have enjoyed my stay so far. The staff is really nice, but the food is getting better.

I've been a resident of Desert Blossom for 31 days. At first I didn't know what to expect as I had never been in this type of situation. After being settled in & getting used to the staff & routines, I was pleasantly surprised. This place knows what it is doing in all aspects of their operation. Staff members are enjoyable, highly educated, cordial, friendly, & above all, very caring. There are activities each day, classes, crafts, & opportunities to get acquainted. Don't miss out on group therapy twice a week to keep those arms & legs up & going. Lots of fun & laughter to help you improve! While here, I have made wonderful friends that I will cherish. Everyone listens & all responses are timely. I'm very happy to be going home, but if I had to be placed into rehab again, Desert Blossom is where I want to be.

Due to having been in another rehab center here locally, it was not clean, staff was not interested in the patient, rooms were very small, l was very reluctant to experience another. At Desert Blossom they have changed my mind about rehab.Their staff is Excellent, Doctors ,office staff, and especially the PT's. The're ALL in your welfare, and getting you stronger so you can get back home. No one's preference is to be in any hospital or rehab center, but If in your life that must be for your health l would recommend Desert Blossom. Not perfect but they deserve a 5 star rating every day. I know this because I'm still a patient here. Lyle Tryon
