My husband got there yesterday. It has been a nightmare. The CNAs are amazing... Everyone is nice & tries to be helpful but the protocol of care is horrible. I am out of town and coming home early to pick him up.
They have been very helpful and are taking good care of my loved one. They provide me with regular updates and alert me of any issues.
The facility is clean and organized with many staff members willing to help whoever is in need.
All staff was very kind during the short stay
The staff was so helpful and sweet.
Check in went well. Admin at front desk has excellent communication skills. Arriving into the Apache Unit we were greeted by staff and assisted us in locating the patient we were there to see.Found the unit lacking in fresh air circulation it was stuffy and smelled of body odors. The room assuming it was a recreational room is very small and crowded. However staff greeted us and immediately located chairs for us to sit and visit. Found the patients room to be adequate. Bed tidy. However, when searching for patients clothes I could not locate any clean clothes. I did find a laundry basket with lots of dirty clothes hidden behind a curtain by the bed with a table tray in front of it. Also found his shoes at the bottom of the laundry hamper. Apparently I understand there was a request when patient newly arrived to have staff wash his laundry. It was obvious no laundry had been done since the patient arrived to the unit. A staff person did offer to do the laundry when I explained I was taking the dirty clothes home to be cleaned. I declined said I would do the laundry myself. I did observed the patient was not wearing clean clothing. Overall, I found the staff to be helpful and was greeted by staff as we walked into the unit. All requests to take patient to the bathroom was done quickly and staff was quick to help. Nice part was staff was cheerful and efficient. They did not complain nor did they make any excuses. I did find the unit very crowded lots of patients and not much free space. Yet staff makes it work. I truly compliment them for their versatility!!! Which helps to make me feel comfortable as a visitor.
