Let me start off by immediately noticing how unpleasant, unprofessional and disrespectful the executive director of independent living is; Marielena. She clearly does not know how to run a facility like this and can recognize that she has never taken managing courses and don't even get me started on her nasty personality. She has no compassion or empathy towards her residents nor her employees. Residents that I've spoken to have a list of complaints around her being in a job position that she is very much underqualified for! She needs to…

If I was able to give it 0 stars, I absolutely would. Let me start off by immediately noticing how unpleasant, unprofessional and disrespectful the executive director of independent living is; Marielena. She clearly does not know how to run a facility like this and can recognize that she has never taken managing courses and don't even get me started on her nasty personality. She has no compassion or empathy towards her residents nor her employees. Residents that I've spoken to have a list of complaints around her being in a job position that she is very much underqualified for! She needs to be REPLACED IMMEDIATELY with someone who actually listens, communicates, shows compassion, and that actually CARES about the well being of others and who can ACTUALLY RUN THIS PLACE. She is doing a terrible job, no wonder so many residents have been leaving this place!!! THEY'RE UNHAPPY!!!!
Kara was the most amazing, caring person with helping us with our uncle. He absolutely loves the food too
Pat is wonderful!!! I love seeing her when I visit my grandmother, she is always friendly and caring to everyone she speaks with. Thank you for being wonderful!!!!

When calling Desert Winds, the front desk lady, Pat was so caring and understanding. She listened to all my questions and assisted me with all my needs and questions. I chose to tour this facility for my families needs based on just the way Pat handled my phone call. A+++ service!!

Clean environment, very lovely facility. The dining room supervisor, Lucy, was wonderful and friendly. Another waiter, Anthony, seemed a little shy but was very attentive and pleasant.
I have had several clients on the property and have visited numerous times over the past few years. One thing that consistently stands out is the exceptional professionalism, courtesy, and knowledge of Pat at the front desk, along with a handful of other outstanding staff members. They truly make this place a wonderful home to visit, and I believe, to be a resident as well.
