I’d give 0 stars if it were an option. Health inspectors finding dozens of cockroaches in the kitchen about 4 months ago was reprehensible and extremely negligent of this entire facility’s staff. With cockroaches there’s always more hiding that you can’t see, so when you can see dozens then there’s a severe infestation. If you have anyone you know in this facility as a patient, please remove them immediately for their safety. As a local nurse, I’ll do my part to inform my patients of this dirty dining report if they need to go to an assisted living, and that they should stay far away from…

Very nasty place. Do not ever place your loved one here. Nurses are very overworked It’s dirty and the food is terrible

Dirty & unsafe kitchen facilities. I can prove this beyond just my own experience & observation. A recent health inspection of the kitchen revealed over 30 visible live roaches on the walls & ceilings of the kitchen. As everyone knows once you get to the point where you are seeing that many roaches you have an extreme and severe infestation that is not being handled properly. This is public information and can be looked up on Maricopa County's website to verify I'm telling the truth. I wouldn't let anyone I loved eat food from that kitchen. Places like this allow the facility to fall apart, the staff to be underpaid, & the residents to suffer all while a handful of people at the top profit. Stay away for your own safety.

Drs choice assisted living has some great nurses, mainly males. They are really nice. The problem is the food . You would think whoever makes decisions on the food for these patients would realize they are old , more than likely have very little teeth, have diabetes or heart issues & spend most their time in bed. So why would their meals be hot dogs, Mac n cheese & chile? Sometimes veggies that include broccoli & cabbage which are known to cause gas. They are not teenagers & can’t eat that way, it hurts them. The meals should be chosen with all this in mind. I realize the junk is cheaper but they deserve better. a good meal brings them nourishment & happiness. Sometimes they have a great meal & it makes them feel better. They should have this more often. How would you want to eat if it was you laying there ?

I’m surprised more ppl don’t leave reviews to help others who are looking. This place is clean & nice. The rooms are fine. The staff are amazing & really seem to care but huge turnover . You like them & then they’re gone. There are no activities & meals are not adjusted for diabetics or heart patients.

My mother has been there for several years. My sister put her there. Not a very good place what I seen, I'm out of state. The situation is out of my control. Food was horrible. Dark and dreary. I could go on .......
