Neither incident was documented or reported to our family. We only learned about the falls because she was able to tell us herself. She also told us that floor pads were placed beside her bed after the second fall. This facility was aware of the needed precautions such as lowering the bed and using floor mats should have been in place beforehand, given her condition. Do not send your loved one here!!! Our family had a very disappointing experience. During our loved one’s stay, she fell out of bed twice within two days. Neither incident was documented or reported to our family. We only learned about the falls because she was able to tell us herself. She also told us that floor pads were placed beside her bed after the second fall. This facility was aware of the needed precautions such as lowering the bed and using floor mats should have been in place beforehand, given her condition. When we questioned the staff, we were told that our immobile family member had somehow gotten herself back into bed and that they were unaware she had fallen. Based on her physical condition & the placed pads, we did not find that explanation believable. We were also very concerned about her hygiene, which was not adequately maintained during her stay.
There are so many reasons I would recommend Estrella, but it all boils down to the individuals that work there that bring excellent and quality care. I'm impressed with the passionate and ambitious nature of everyone I've interacted with here. Very patient centered, and they are highly driven to be the best.
As someone who works in healthcare I would NOT RECOMMEND this place! Before my mother passed away she was in this rehab she was recovering from surgery and would get very little help from the staff to get up to use the bathroom , they would skip meals, staff seemed very miserable the place smells bad and looks bad so that itself does not help someone feel better/get better. While there I witnessed a patient across her room dragging herself out of the bathroom very sad to see! This place needs to be closed down in my opinion

I would love to be able to write this review about a specific employee but I am finding that impossible to do. EVERYONE that I have encountered at Estrella have simply gone out of their way to make my family feel comfortable, most importantly my Auntie. The care and concern that is shown to and for her is so wonderful. They are very patient and really listen to my Auntie at what she is trying to say. I am so happy to watch the look on her face when she has been able to accomplish something that she has not been able to in quite a while. Two hands raised up to Estrella!!!!
Estrella is amazing to work with they go above and beyond basic care and i love their staff! The thought/heart behind their care speaks volumes about their culture. If you need a place where it feels like home for your loved one check them out
Estrella Health Center provided exceptional care and support during my family member’s stay, making a difficult time much easier for all of us. The staff was compassionate, professional, and always attentive to our needs, which gave our family great peace of mind. Our overall experience was truly positive, and we are very grateful for the kindness and quality care we received.
The care at this facility for my loved one. Was absolutely spectacular. Not only did it feel professional, clean, and organized but it truly felt like family. I’m so thankful we used this facility. Kenadee I think was her name was amazing at making sure we had an incredible stay and everything we needed was provided! I will recommend this place to anyone!! Thank you so much!
The communication at this facility is the worst. Almost every time I called, there was no answer at the nurses station and when they did answer they weren't able to help. Then I get transfered to different departments and I always get voicemails. I leave messages and nobody ever returns my calls. My father was supposed to stay at the facility for only 2 weeks to recuperate from his surgery but they kept him there for a month without telling us the reason why, even though I asked numerous times. Doctors order had been 2 weeks only. I kept telling them that but it seemed they didn't care. They did promptly call to say he needed to pay for his stay there. He got billed for many days that he wasn't supposed to be there and took an elderly man's money for no reason. This situation was very frustrating and absolutely not fair to him.
