My experience at this place was positivity and respect. Everyone has a smile on their face and always willing to help you. I want to send a special thank you to the staff, nurses, CNA's as well as kitchen and housekeeping. I want to send a special shout out to Christian the charge nurse, one of the hardest working staff members there. Another shout out to Kacey the director of activities or "Director of Fun " she brings the special events to a whole other level. Thanks to all the Dr's who gave it to me straight. The CNAs at Haven of Tucson were always quick to respond whenever I needed help, which gave me so much peace of mind. I also appreciated that my doctor continued caring for me at this facility. A special thank you to Tahnee, her kindness and compassion truly stood out. She cared not only for me but also for my roommate, and it was clear she genuinely loves what she does. Thank you for the wonderful care! Our family had a wonderful experience at Haven of Tucson. Mike from RT was amazing and the ladies from OT. They were all kind, compassionate, and truly went above and beyond. The food was also surprisingly delicious! We've been to other facilities where the meals weren't edible, so this was a huge difference. Thank you to the entire team for making such a difficult time easier.

Our family will forever be grateful to everyone at Haven of Tucson. Our loved one was on hospice, and while losing someone is never easy, the compassion, kindness, and dignity your staff showed made their transition as peaceful as possible. You cared not only for our family member but for all of us during one of the hardest times in our lives. Thank you for treating them with such respect and love. We will never forget the comfort and support you gave our family.

I spent 3 weeks at Haven Health. My care while there was outstanding. I can never remember all the names but just a few are nurses Mike and Maria from days, and Robyn from nights. CNA Tracy from nights was wonderful and was always checking in on me to be sure I was well taken care of. Also on days CNA Malissa, Dina, Lora, and Nicole were great! If I have not named someone else it is not because your care was not great, it’s simply because I can’t remember names very well! Also important and wonderful was my OT Tracy, and my PT Georgia. I could not have done so well without their help.

While my mother was there, they did not return any of my calls. I called twice a day to talk to my mom, a nurse, or anyone that could tell me anything about my mother. I was completely ignored, never able to talk to my mom. When it had been over a week of not being able to talk to ANYBODY about my mom, out of desperation, I explained the situation to the receptionist. She had zero compassion, didn't care whatsoever for the fact that I was out of state WITH medical Power of Attorney, and was absolutely rude. Finally, I got through to a Case Manager that immediately honored the MPOA, then 4 hours later the Rehab Manager told me that they could not tell me anything. I also believe there was a lack of proper care for my mother based on the condition she was in when she moved to the next place. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.

This facility is meant for people who do not require a high level of care, but my family member depends completely on others because they have no movement from the neck down. Even so, the care they receive has been very poor. On several occasions, the patient has been left for hours without having their diaper changed. In addition, because the patient has difficulty communicating due to being connected to a ventilator, it seems easier for the staff to give them anxiety medication that leaves them asleep for hours, while justifying it by saying the patient has anxiety. I visit six days a week and help in every way I can, yet these situations continue to happen. I can only imagine what happens to patients who do not have family members checking on them regularly. When you call to ask for updates about the patient’s health, they always say they will return your call, but that rarely happens. This issue has been reported to administration multiple times, but nothing has truly changed. I believe the way patients are treated here is very humiliating. My recommendation is that if you have the option to choose a different facility for your loved one, do so. Otherwise, you may end up having a very negative experience

The Nursing Home Reform Act of 1987 states that a patient's rights are as follows: freedom from abuse and unnecessary restraints, "participation in care planning," secure communication, and the ability to voice grievances without retaliation. This facility has violated a patient's rights, and it is obvious that this facility doesn't care for individuals and their rights. As retaliation for a concerned visitor voicing opinions and suggestions, the facility trespassed the only visitor for this particular patient. Without informing the patient or involving the patient in that decision, they did this action behind the patient's back. They went through the patient's belongings, and items of the patient went missing. I would recommend avoiding placing any breathing individual at this particular long-term care facility if you care and love that person because they won't receive the care and respect they have a right to. They actually made an accusation that the visitor was only there for "money." That was unprofessional and uncalled for. In fact, this facility has done everything to keep the visitor from the patient because it is the facility that wants the monthly income from the insurance. I tried reaching out to talk with staff regarding the issues, and of course, no answer. They do not have the balls to talk with someone voicing negativity towards them over the phone. Also, addressing issues would possibly mean they would have to "change," and they don't want to do that. I will be personally filing complaints with the state, the insurance, the corporate office, and all other pertinent offices regarding this facility. Haven Health on N. Swan gets a negative 5 stars, not 1+.

Haven Health Tucson made us feel welcome and comfortable. The incredible care we have received from the physical therapy staff is beyond words, and I am grateful to each and every one of you! I highly recommend this facility. ARFA
