La Sonora at Dove Mountain

Very clean. Every staff member i came into contact with was extremely friendly and cheerful. My kind of people.

Frontier Senior Living management is only about money. I am a resident and we have had 5 different management companies in 3.5 yrs. Frontier is the most recent. I recommend that every single solitary thing they tell you when on a tour or signing on the dotted line you get in writing!

I don't even know where to start. I work for the dental office down the hill from this establishment, and have had a great experience working with front desk/mgrs, until today. This afternoon I saw an elderly woman making her way down the strip, and had actually passed by our office 2 or 3 times. I had just got off the phone and our hygienist came to the front and saw this lady sitting on the ground just sitting, she let me know and we both ran out. She had hit her head and was bleeding, a lot. We were able to find out she was trying to find her hair appt and tripped. We got her inside the office, and started to clean her up and call 911. Was able to get a little information from her, as she was scared and confused. I called the office and was answered by Ryan. His concern was very limited as I told him a resident had fallen and we were awaiting the fire dept. He asked to hold for a moment, when he came back I could hear him radioing someone. He then said 'Someone was on there way'. 10-15 min. later with the FD waiting, no one had come. My other office person called got helpful Ryan, who at this point...15 minutes, told her that "They weren't allowed to leave the site and she'd need to walk home"....Walk back in 95' weather, by herself. UNEXCEPTABLE!!!. He was not able to give a name or contact to upper level, he did finally give us the number for nurse Jeannie, we were able to leave a voice mail for her and she did call with in 15 minutes. Explained that staff are absolutely allowed to leave site on emergencies like this, and apologized over and over again. Thank you, Jeannie, this was a horrible experience.

They have really gone downhill in the last year! New administration, not enough caregivers and the food is not consistent. They do not have a chef, even though they say they do! Don't place anybody at La Sonora, recommend a different facility! I would say to the families, looking for assisted-living, to speak to the residents and see what they say about the place they are considering. I would also ask how long the nurse and director have been at the facility. There is so much turnover at La Sonora.
