Great medical team. They were very understanding, friendly, patient and loved their patients. They were more like a family than caregivers and nurses. You know who you are. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
My husband received the best care at this home. The staff were kind and patient with him. It was a wonderful experience for our family.
I have a relative staying here. There is no activity whatsoever, no music and of course right now, no visitors allowed. I really am not too impressed right now with the care that my relative is receiving.
The layout of Medina House is good. It's easy to get around, handicap accessible, clean, and doesn't smell bad. I'm not impressed with the food. They could do more American food or have somebody who knows how to really cook. They're not exercising, there's no music therapy, and they don't play games. We talked to them about activities, but we still haven't witnessed any. The staff is friendly and nice. She's been there two months and nothing's happened with the services they said they will provide.
I think the caregivers are good and they are consistent. I have gotten to know them and they have gotten to know me. I like the fact that they cook. The place is clean. The back patio has a lot of junk in the back and could use improvement. In general it's fine. This is the best home he has been.
It's an all male home which is good for Len who has Frontal Lobe Dementia. Caregivers are friendly. They say the regular cook is still on vacation so I'm hoping the food improves. It's OK but I was told that the regular cook does a better job. I don't know how often they change diapers. When I was there the other afternoon, Len was soaked up to his chest in his room while he was watching TV. It didn't seem to bother him but the smell of urine was strong. They need to learn to be proactive with him because he won't ask. (I'm not sure it bothers him.) He's only been there a short time. It is better than his last place he says.
