I am now a resident of three years - was one of the first to move in after it was built. I wouldn't want to live anyplace else. I live in a two-bedroom with deck on upper floor and have no pets - but pet owners are fur-babies are great to live with! I work a full time job and am unable to participate in many activities - but I can also assure you that it is not because the timing of the activities are not convenient. I am now a resident of three years - was one of the first to move in after it was built. I wouldn't want to live anyplace else. I live in a two-bedroom with deck on upper floor and have no pets - but pet owners are fur-babies are great to live with! I work a full time job and am unable to participate in many activities - but I can also assure you that it is not because the timing of the activities are not convenient. Mera Westgate sponsors numerous evening and weekend activities from cooking, to fellowship and sharing, to marketplace, to cultural related events. The amenities are absolutely wonderful - I use the fitness center practically everyday - equipment and fitness center are kept clean, orderly; and they have a vendor who comes in for yoga and other fitness activities. I am also a walker - the neighborhood is safe, kept clean, and off of the beat and path of the surrounding very upscale tourist spots adjacent to the stadium. This was a big surprise to me. Lots of shopping nearby and a variety of restaurants and fun-spots to invite family and friends - but very little traffic on the streets leading to Mera - what a delightful surprise - yet the shopping and sports, and family-fun district is in walking distance! What I enjoy most about the community is the helpfulness of the staff, the cleanliness and safety measures Mera has in place, and their prompt attention to repairs when needed. I really wouldn't want to live anyplace else!!!!
What we like the most about Mera Westgate is....All of the above. Administration staff are very helpful, professional and kind. The residents are friendly. Both are like family. It's very clean and homelike. The activities are plentiful and great. It feels safe. The cost is reasonable

My parents moved from there because there was too much crime. People's cars were getting broken into all the time. They also felt like the building wasn't made great. They could hear all the above Neighbors footsteps. They also said that they let people live there who weren't of age, and one of them had a drug lab in the apartment that got busted.
It's a nice community with a lot of things to do for seniors.
Recently toured this community and it checked all the boxes for me. Apartments are large with a walk in closet and huge kitchen with lots of drawers and cabinets. I’ll be able to have family and friends over for dinner. Loved all the amenities and activities offered along with a walking path and dog park. I like to stay active myself. Close to shops and restaurants too. Can hardly wait till I can move in.
Design and facilities are awesome. Management is abysmal. The focus is on luring and securing new residents. Communication to and appreciation of current residents is nonexistent No way to connect with ownership to convey issues an concerns. Promised amenities: heated pool, resident activities, garden, dog park, badly managed or totally ignored.
I've had a good experience with Mera Westgate. This is a great senior community. The staff are helpful, kind, and caring. They keep the community clean. Everyone is friendly. There are activities for the residents to participate in. I have been concerned about the neighborhood safety and security, but the staff are addressing the situation.
