Mother requires assistance in all areas of care, except feeding herself. The owners, manager and staff are exceptional, friendly, caring and keeps me apprised. The residence is spotless and a friendly, comforting environment. Resident's safety is utmost. I visited mom yesterday and her hair and nails were done professionally. Very comforting for the residents. Residents are engaged with activities such as bingo and light exercise. Music performers are also brought into the home for entertainment. I highly recommend North Valley and my mind is at peace with the care she is receiving from North…

The business owner will pretend to be helpful and compassionate. The overall services seem nice but some caregivers do not properly pick up the elderly. Example picking up by holding the hands and pulling them up leaving that elderly persons body weight not being properly supported. Question any of this the owner will turn and start to show her true self. [name removed] the owner doesn’t allow you to communicate with your family on the daily or every other day as it takes away from the other residence. Even though family is what the client needs when it comes to consistency of what they know. This is considering calls typically last 5minutes at max 10 minutes if lucky. That takes away from the other clients according to [name removed]. I’m sorry but if the caregivers cannot continue to care for the clients because of a 5-10minute phone call then new caregivers need to be hired. This place is an illusion of hominess but it is not previous reviews on other platforms will speak for itself.

My mother has adapted well at this assisted living facility after having a very difficult time when my father passed away. The owners and caregivers have been compassionate and tremendously helpful every step of the way. The facility is immaculate. I visit routinely and the residence is always pleasant and bright and the caregivers are always attentive and warm. We take comfort in the fact that my mother is safe, comfortable, and surrounded by people she can trust and depend on for her daily needs, including her healthcare. Mom, now requiring assisted care, has lived at NVAL for two months and the transition has gone smoothly for the family. Mom loves her caregivers and has told us she is comfortable in the home and says the meals are very good. When visiting with her in her private room she is anxious to be with "the group", wanting to continue our visit in the living area. (I think she doesn't want to miss out on the activities.) The activities such as bingo and musical entertainment keeps her stimulated along with reading the newspaper daily. It gives the family peace of mind knowing she is in a safe and secure home with medical care provided on site when needed along with medication management.

They are clean, do their job, ACT friendly, however the owner and manager make it where you don’t get to see your family or call them. Visiting is a hit or miss, calling good luck as they “don’t have a receptionist” . They make the place Homie but yet the owner Christina seems to think her caregivers lack the capacity to care for the residents while having the residents family over. Every caregiver and caregiving facility I have been to throughout the years are able to care for the person being cared for while family is there. The most they had to do was tell the family to given them a moment, or let them know they will clean them up and be back or just politely tell them they are in the way if they actually are in the way. Other places caring for elderly patients see the value in having the family around. It keeps them alive. This place and the owner seem to push the family away and prefer the patients not be around loved ones. It is strictly keeping up with business. Definitely not recommend. Only recommend if you want a loved one to be taken care of on a business level(job being done checked off) but don’t actually want to have contact with them or care to keep their spirits going… then it’d be recommended.

I am a professional nurse visiting patients at this facility. They treat their residents with dignity and respect, giving choices regarding their care. Following doctor orders and giving compassionate care.

I have known the owners of this beautiful facility for 15+ years! Our clinic always recommends this home for patients looking for the amazing care! You will love it here!

Do not under any circumstances use this home. My parents have just moved to this home and they do not have their cell phone been taken from them and the home will not allow me to speak to them. It's been a week since I have spoken to my parents. I live out of town and it's very stressful and concerning that this is happening.
