Residences in the Hills Assisted Living

I highly recommend Residence in the Hills Assisted Living to anyone looking for a caring, comfortable, and trustworthy assisted living home for a loved one. My mom has been living there for the past two years, and our experience has been truly wonderful. Michael, the owner, is also the main live-in caregiver, and that makes such a difference. He is incredibly kind, gentle, patient, and understanding with all of the residents. You can tell he truly cares about each person who lives there and treats them with dignity and compassion. One thing I really appreciate is how attentive the caregivers are to everyone’s daily needs. They prepares good meals, make sure residents receive the care they need, and create an environment that feels safe, calm, and welcoming. They engage and sit with the Residents. It is not an assissted living, it is a home. The house itself is beautiful, very clean, and well cared for, with a lovely backyard where residents can enjoy fresh air and peaceful surroundings. Another special touch is Victoria and Otto, Michael’s two tiny dogs, who bring so much joy to the home. Their sweet presence brightens the residents’ days and adds warmth and happiness to the environment. What stands out most is the peace of mind that comes from knowing your loved one is in a place where they are genuinely cared for every day. That level of trust means everything.

If I could give Residences in the Hills Assisted Living a perfect score of 10 stars, I would gladly do so! After visiting several assisted living homes, some of which were good and others that weren’t, we were fortunate to find this gem nestled in Laveen, just a 8-minute drive from our home. We scheduled an appointment to visit and meet Michael and his late wife, Cristina. From the moment we stepped into the home, we knew we had found a place that would be more than suitable for my brother to reside in. Michael and Cristina were incredibly patient, kind, attentive, responsive, knowledgeable, and showed an amazing level of compassion for my brother. They took care of all his personal needs, including medication management, grooming, and scheduled home visits with his doctor. The meals at Residences in the Hills were prepared with love and care, and if you happened to drop in during meal time, the enticing aroma of freshly made food would fill the home. The quality and variety of the food were exceptional, with everything being made from scratch. The home was always spotlessly clean, which gave us peace of mind. Michael and Cristina ensured that all of my brother’s paperwork was up to date and current. My brother moved in there in 2021, and Michael and Cristina made the transition from living alone to living in a residential environment incredibly smooth and easy for him. He was very fond of both of them and they shared with us a side of him that we never knew! We felt at ease knowing that my brother was being well cared for and comfortable. Although my brother passed away in April 2025, it’s comforting to know that he was in good hands and well taken care of during his time at Residences in the Hills Assisted Living. I highly recommend this exceptional home to anyone who is looking for a place to care for a family member.
