Senior Sanctuary of Anthem

My mother was a resident at Senior Sanctuary of Anthem and my family and I were extremely impressed with the experience during my mother's stay. The home and grounds are absolutely gorgeous and are kept immaculate and sparkling clean. I would visit my mother daily at different times and all areas of the house were always spotless and orderly. The staff at Senior Sanctuary are top-notch caring individuals. As soon as my mom arrived, she was made to feel at home and was pampered by the staff. The staff went out of their way to make her feel welcomed and safe, from preparing her favorite meal to small things like putting fresh flowers and her favorite candy in her room. The decision to place a loved one into a senior facility is never an easy task, but I would highly recommend Senior Sanctuary of Anthem. The caring staff, personalized care, and beautiful home make the process much easier. Thank you for taking such great care of my mom!

I moved my mom from a large senior living facility in Anthem to Senior Sanctuary of Anthem around 6 months ago. I waited to write a review so that I could give an accurate overview of her experience there. I was somewhat dissatisfied with her care at the other, larger facility, where she lived both independently, and then with assistance. It was sometimes difficult to contact the people you needed to, and there wasn’t a sufficient staff to resident ratio to provide her with the assistance she needed. It was fine when she was independent, but as time went on, she needed more care. I called Sam Ile, the owner at Senior Sanctuary, who answered immediately. We had a conversation where he told me what I could expect from his senior homes. It is very easy to contact and speak with Sam, or any of his staff. He set up a group chat with mom’s nurse, the residence’s manager, and the nurse practitioner who supervises my mother’s healthcare. I am always a few minutes away from an answer when I have questions about mom. If there’s a health concern, the nurse practitioner is on speed dial, with a fast response time, even in non-urgent situations. Every health concern has been addressed proactively. The caregivers are friendly and loving to my mom. She looks so well taken care of. Her hair is attended to by a hair stylist weekly, and every day she has glowing skin, fresh hair, and newly laundered clothing. A gentle massage is available weekly to help her aches and pains. 3 meals are provided daily - they are fresh and made by the staff there. Scripture readings, spiritual discussions, and bible study take place weekly. Art activities and chair exercise helps mom to stay socially connected and allows for creativity and mental stimulation. The house is spacious with a beautiful outdoor space that is well maintained. Mom has told me that the people who take care of her are nice to her, and willing to help her when she needs it. They greet me with a smile and make me feel happy about the choice to move her there. It’s a sad point in life when you must consider your parents’ long-term care, but my experience here is the next best option to my own home.

Anthem Sanctuary has been an amazing place for my mom. The staff are not just employees but like family and give so much of themselves to each resident. This small homey residence for seniors is run lovingly by a caring owner and manager and team of caregivers who go above and beyond to make residents feel safe and cared for. The managers and staff provide extra touches of beauty, enjoyment , and comfort - outside providers come in to lead singing, games and current events, clergy visits, flower arranging, massage, hair styling. Staff do manicures. Meals are home cooked fresh and delicious. I cannot say enough about the kindness, gentleness, and thoughtfulness of all the staff. The outside patio is beautifully furnished and landscaped with bird feeders, flowers, and comfortable places to sit. The residence is immaculately clean at all times, and beautifully decorated for holidays and resident birthdays, for which special celebrations are arranged. When my time comes, I want to live here!
