Not impressed with this living home. I was told recently about only one person on duty for memory care. I figured since these “new owners” are taking over things would get better. I do not trust these people working here and I will not my grandfather in this care. Most importantly the head of nurses really put off a bad feeling. I think it was Maggie or margarine something like that. New owners please do better.

I cant say enough about Solterra Senior Living. When you walk in the door it feels more like a hotel. It's clean and neat and the apartments have everything a Senior needs. But it's the care their staff gives to the residents that's most impressive. Getting old isn't always easy and neither is caring for them. It's a 24/7 operation looking after my aunt and the level of care they provide allows me to sleep at night. The management, nursing, maintenance and housekeeping staff I have met and talked to are all compassionate professionals. If you live in the White Mountains and are ready for a…

My Grandma has come home today for her first day at Solterra. I would like to give a very special shout out and thanks to Adria for working so hard and diligently to make this happen. It wasn't easy for her and the transfer from the skilled nursing facility that Grandma was at but Adria didn't give up and we are so grateful. I am so happy that Grandma will be in the good hands of such wonderful people. This facility is absolutely beautiful, clean and has so many activities for your loved ones to be involved with. It's a great place when you come to time in life when you don't want to do yard work any more. Or your alone in you golden years. Staff is great, whether they are cleaning, cooking, waiting on you in dinning room, whatever, they are all great. They have all sorts of activities, exercise class's, Etc. very nice inside. They really do care.

Mom chose Solterra At White Mountains because it felt more like an apartment building and it was homey. There weren't a lot of activities going on in the lobby, and she wanted that kind of quieter atmosphere. Her apartment has everything she needs except for a microwave. It's like a 2-bedroom but the other bedroom doesn't have a closet, so they refer to it as a 1-bedroom with a den. The whole layout is very spacious. The kitchen is big, it has a dining room, and it's 980 square feet. The staff is very, very caring and friendly. They are top-notch. Anything she needs like when there was a leak, they're there within half an hour. When she arrived, they made sure that the residents knew that there was somebody new coming in and they welcomed her. Several residents came up to her and introduced themselves. Everybody went out of their way to be just very welcoming and friendly. Mom did not get their meal plan, but she could always go down to the dining area and order what she wanted, and pay for it. She said the food is very good. One thing I liked about this community is they went to my mom's apartment and invited her to come to Oktoberfest. They had some music, German appetizers, beer or wine, and the staff was all dressed up. They made it very festive. They have a whole lot of activities daily too like bingo, bowling, massages, walking, dancing, outings, casinos, movies, and restaurants. They gave each resident a smartwatch, so they can track wherever they are. If they stay idle in one place for too long, the staff can go check on them. The residents can press it once and it gives them the time, the date, the temperature, and the battery life. If you hold it down for around 3 seconds, that sends a message that you need help. And they didn't charge us extra for that. I have not seen it in any of the other senior places that I looked at.

My husband and I were residents of Solterra Senior Living at White Mountains. It was assisted living for him. I had been taking care of him, and somebody would be coming to help us every day. He was in assisted living there, and I just paid a certain amount each month for me so that we could share an apartment and I could live there with him. They were wonderful. They're very friendly and it's very clean. The caregivers were outstanding, too. It was just a wonderful place. My husband was in hospice care towards the end in our apartment, and every day, the caregivers at the facility worked with the hospice people to keep him comfortable. I can't even explain it. They were wonderful in terms of keeping his dignity intact and caring about him. It was just extraordinary. We were in a one-bedroom apartment with a kitchen, but no stove. He didn't like the food there because he's used to my cooking and he didn't eat very well, so I started cooking for us. I managed without having a stove. It was a nice apartment, good-sized rooms, and always clean. They did housekeeping every week and laundry every week. When we were on shutdown for COVID, they delivered meals to our rooms because they closed the dining room. We got very friendly with the caregivers there. Both of us had diabetes, and they worked with us for us to be able to get a diabetes-friendly diet. But towards the end of his life, I didn't much care what he ate as long as he ate something, you know, because he just had no appetite. We became friendly, and they would sometimes just come in and sit with him and talk to him and if they found me upset or anything, they would come in and spend time with me. I can't even thank them enough for what they did. I didn't participate much in it because I didn't want to leave my husband alone. But they had a lot of activities that people enjoyed. Everybody that I met there was very friendly. The only thing we did have a little issue with was that they had a few different chefs when we were there. When we first moved in, the chef was outstanding. But then they had a series of people who weren't as talented, let's put it that way. But the food was nourishing, and it was good enough.

I'm in Solterra at White Mountains. They're very friendly and very caring. My apartment was very clean when I moved in. Everything was in order and it was freshly painted. I really liked it. The size is perfect. They have just about everything. They have a library, an exercise room, a dance floor, a piano, and musicians come in every now and then to play for entertainment. They encourage residents to make friends. They have very nice walkways if you have a dog, a salon, a beautiful dining room, and the food is excellent. The staff is willing to help with whatever you need.

Nice senior people great friendly place!
