Want to give a special thank you to Tempe Post Acute for taking care of my grandfather during his stay there. The staff was friendly and helpful with any questions I had about his condition updates, the facility was clean and he overall enjoyed his stay.

My initial interaction with Tempe Post Acute was with the staff. They were patient and kind and took the time to answer all of my questions. They did an excellent job setting proper expectations and communicating openly. The facility was clean and smelled good. Highly recommended!

I’ve always had a great experience working with Tempe Post Acute. The staff is professional, compassionate, and truly committed to providing excellent patient care. A special shoutout to Admissions for always being responsive and easy to work with, and to the Physical Therapy team for their dedication to helping their patients succeed. It’s a pleasure partnering with such a great team!

This facility is definitely not 5 star! I read through all of the 5 star reviews and noticed that at least 3 of them are written by Tempe Post Acute staff. I think 1 star is appropriate. This facility is poorly managed. Most issues are probably due to short staffing. Getting any help on weekends is impossible and during the week isn't much better. You push your call light and watch the clock to see when someone will come. When a CNA answers they turn off the call light and then leave to find supplies to change your diaper or what ever your request was. Sometimes they return and sometimes they get side tracked and forget your light was on and they turned it off. I heard a manager tell a CNA to turn off call lights as quickly as possible because all of that is recorded and reported to the state or federal on performance rates. I had to supply my own baby wipes. Basic supplies like wipes, gloves were not stocked properly. While I was in Tempe Post Acute I had 2 roommates leave AMA because they weren't happy with the level of care they received. The roommate I had when I was discharged is a diabetic. They kept giving her a regular menu and she kept ordering cake and sweets. Her blood sugars at times would be over 400. There were also a couple of nights when her blood sugars were dangerously low and they needed to give her juice to bring her levels to normal. If they were looking at her chart this should never happen. As for the menu the choices are very limited and the food is pretty bad. I would have my husband bring me high protein shakes to supplement my diet. Shift change is a nightmare. If you need medication at shift change at night good luck Sometimes I would not see the night nurse come in until after 9pm which is 3 hours past shift change. One night I missed my muscle relaxer and was informed that I would need to wait until midnight for the next scheduled medication. The only reason I received any help is because my husband would advocate for me. He would call the desk if he wasn't there or he would go to the nurses station and demand help. If you do not have someone to advocate for you I would not recommend this facility. Also the rooms are awful there is no place for visitors to sit they have one folding chair per bed in each room. This place is good for taking government funding and not returning any of that money back into maintaining proper staffing levels and basic supplies. There are a few people that went out of their way to give excellent customer service. Nurses Val and Rachel always attentive and on point. CNAs Mario, Sunny, and Emna. The PT and OT department was also very helpful patient and kind.

I had a great experience doing my clinical at Tempe Acute Post. The staff was caring, professional, and always willing to help. They made me feel comfortable and supported throughout my time there. Thank you to the entire team for your excellent care!

I was here for a couple weeks after surgery. 1) Nurses have more than 15 patients per nurse and rely on student nurses and CNAs. 2) The place is really clean but not hospital level clean. 3) The therapy everyday is worth it. 4) I fell when I was there and I can tell you there is definitely some kind of protocol or something in place for falls. 5) Patient communication could be better.

Just dont. If your loved one cannot advocate for themselves at all, do not...I repeat do not out them there. My father was there for 28 hours when I went to visit, he looked like a whole different person and was shriveled up like he didnt drink or eat a thing the whole time being there. Not to mention he was in a room with someone, I didnt know he was in a shared room....and the temp was set to 61 degree for a 80 year old post stroke victim. He was in the same clothes he came in with, apart from his pants. The new pants were filthy. Nobody could give me answers on the amount of food or liquid he drank since admission, or when I did get it it was for a few meals and they told me in person. Not from the many calls to check on him and speak to him, which I never got to speak to him. It was very weird behavior, and I kept being told hes fine and doing fine without any details that I asked to make me feel better. Smh I went to visit 7:45pm and my heart was broken to see my dad that way. He was left in a unlocked wheelchair, with call light not in reach and just sitting in a very cold room. He cried when he saw me and begged to come home. Which I did within 30 minutes of me getting there.

I had the opportunity to complete my CNA student clinical at Tempe Post Acute, and it was a great experience. The staff was always willing to teach and patient which made it a great place to learn. I got great hands-on experience and the staff guided me through everything, making sure I felt comfortable and confident. The nurses and CNA's treated all residents with respect. The facility itself is clean and also offered many enjoyable activities that kept residents engaged. During my clinical, I enjoyed getting to know many of the residents and they seemed happy and very well cared for. Tempe Post Acute is a great spot for residents and CNA students and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for quality care to complete their clinicals at.
