The Enclave at Anthem Senior Living

Every time we visit our parents at The Enclave at Anthem, the staff is always so cheerful and helpful. We have dealt with other assisted living facilities in the past and they were hard to work with and so gloomy. Not at the Enclave. A big thank you to the staff for making this facility such a nice environment.

Please do not move to this place, or have a loved one move to the Enclave of Anthem,. They love to take advantage of seniors and elderly people. They overcharged my family member over $3500 when she left. The assisted care she received was poor at best. The food there is worse than any school cafeteria. They would leave my mother in Her room for hours without attending her. They even let my mom exit the building in over 115° outside. Very disturbing and sad.

My mom was there for about 3 years. While the facility itself is beautiful and well maintained, over that time, rent went up and service and food diminished. We found the food to generally be unhealthy options and not well prepared. Sadly, there are almost no options for outside food delivery in Anthem unless you are into eating pizza, burgers and Chinese. When they stopped doing check-ins and discontinued the emergency button service for independent living, it made live very difficult for us. Housekeeping in the common areas is good, but we did not find that most of the housekeepers did satisfactory work in the unit. There aren't many good options in the North part of Phoenix, but we would look more closely at alternatives before selecting this place today, knowing what we now know.

[name removed] was helpful at first. I was given several places near me. I had not asked for Enclave Anthem for my Aunt, due to the cost. Somehow, a referral was sent there. My parents live there. My Aunt decided to choose Enclave Anthem. I was not able to get a $[fee removed] referral fee from Enclave, because they had received the referral from place for mom. [name removed] said she would look into why the referral was sent there and if I could get a part of your fee because I never asked to have enclave Anthem contacted. Never heard back after I followed up. Not the best experience.

The Enclave delivers excellent medical care for their residents. Plenty of opportunities for socializing and activities. My mom Loved their 3 years before her passing and enjoyed her time there. The cleanliness of the place is great ( and met my mom’s exacting standards). When my mom needed hospice, they were able to coordinate with hospice and provide seamless care. The cost of my mom’s assisted living apartment was as reasonable for all the care she received, especially compared to other facilities both inside and outside of our area. I would highly recommend the Enclave.
