The staff is exceptional—polite, professional, and highly committed. The Summit is a very welcoming community. The Summit senior assisted living represents an inviting environment where families can trust their loved ones will receive outstanding care. Our family cannot say enough good things about this assisted living community. We have felt welcomed and cared for. The caregivers were truly exceptional—kind, compassionate, patient, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure he was comfortable and well cared for. The facility itself is warm, clean, and inviting, creating an environment that felt much more like home than a facility. The food was consistently outstanding, and my dad genuinely enjoyed his meals. Most importantly, the staff treated my dad with dignity, respect, and genuine affection. Knowing he was surrounded by people who truly cared brought our family tremendous peace of mind. We are very grateful for the love and support they provided during his time there.
He is an incredible professional pianist. He plays with feeling and speaks with each of the guests.

I have lived here over a year and I love it! I have been extremely grateful to be here. I find the staff to be extremely helpful and supportive, and my relationships with other residents pleasant. I'm so thankful, here like others with needs, that we are friends. I enjoy getting together daily for meals and activities. It is rewarding to do meaningful things that make the time fly by!

Their commitment to excellence is evident in every aspect of the facility. The environment is beautifully maintained—clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed to support both comfort and safety. The special events hosted by The Summit are consistently outstanding, often including family members and creating meaningful opportunities for connection and celebration. One particularly valuable aspect of their service is the partnership with Trask Mobile Medical. This collaboration has significantly reduced the need for outside medical appointments, providing convenient and comprehensive care directly on-site. If you are seeking a top-rated assisted living facility in the East Valley, I wholeheartedly recommend The Summit at Sunland Springs. My 92 year old sister has been a resident at The Summit at Sunland Springs for over two years. I know almost 90% of the staff. I know the leadership and the extended community of support such as Trask Mobile Medical and EmpowerMe Wellness (PT and OT). After researching and interviewing several communities and using A Place for Mom we selected The Summit. It was the correct choice.
Mom has been in independent living at The Summit nearly 2 years and we have been very pleased in all aspects. There is a strong sense of community and both staff and residents are welcoming. The facility is about 9 years old and was specifically built as a senior living home. A unique aspect is that independent and assisted living rooms are indistinguishable. Residents who need to advance from independent to assisted don’t have to move. They stay in their apartment and assistance comes to them, rather than moving to an assisted section. This integration precludes any stigma associated with assistance. The facility very clean and well maintained. Food variety and quality is good. Staff in all departments are friendly, responsive and professional. Resident or family questions or requests are promptly addressed. We especially appreciate local ownership and management, a welcome rarity in senior living. We have have no significant concerns and recommend The Summit without any reservation. They serve as a model for what senior living facilities should be.
