The patient was overdosed on meds, fell a couple times, needed staples in their head, and the nurse couldnt even recognize this. Instead the nurse wanted to increase rates only after a few days. When that didnt work, the patient was pushed off to a hospital for observation. There is no assistance in living. They do the bare minimum while asking for more money. They have risen rates 3 times in the past month. Some would say inflation. I would say price gouging and taking advantage of the elderly. The patient was overdosed on meds, fell a couple times, needed staples in their head, and the nurse couldnt even recognize this. Instead the nurse wanted to increase rates only after a few days. When that didnt work, the patient was pushed off to a hospital for observation. There is no assistance in living. They do the bare minimum while asking for more money. While the family is there Every day looking in on the patient and even completing duties that the staff should be doing. Not impressed
Appreciated the time Allan, the sales manager, took to show me around and provide education as the family is beginning our process for LTC for our loved one.
My family had a good experience with Brookdale Ray Road. They found a room for my Dad and prepared it for his arrival. Unfortunately my dad's condition deteriorated and we had to cancel our plans. We had paid the move in cost and one month rent and we're not expecting a refund. But Brookdale refunded a majority of what we paid without any effort. I think they were fair and we're nice to work with.

My mother was at this facility at the end of her life in hospice care. The staff went above and beyond and always so caring to not only my mother but my whole family. Jorge was one of the aides and was amazing! He was my mom’s “favorite” and always was so kind and made her feel extra special and well cared for. We need more Jorge’s in this world! Thank you for the great care. I would highly recommend this assisted living center for any of my loved ones.
Overall experience: 5 - For what my Mother needed at that time, it was perfect for her. We learned that she could use more independence and moved her elsewhere. Friendliness of staff: 4 - most very helpful and communicative. Meals/dining: 3. Food is ok, seating arrangement approach not great for mixing. Activities: 4 - some are juvenile but good overall and well-intentioned to span the needs of all. Value for cost: it is competitive for low touch needs, not sure about add on a la cart care needs
I toured Brookdale Chandler Ray Road. The community was fine. The rooms were small. But what was nice is that they have onsite PT and OT, and they have their own room in the back. So that part was good. However, it smelled there, reminding me of something being masked. It wasn't horrible, it's just like they're trying to make something smell better. That was probably my one thing. It's just there was a little something that wasn't right. I saw a few of the residents and they seemed perfectly content there, visiting and chatting away, which was good. The staff who gave the tour was great. He was very informative and very helpful. He has reached out a few times just to ask if we needed any further guidance or things like that, so he was very kind. Overall, it's a very, very nice presenting place from the outside. The inside was good, but it was the smell that got me in there.
My mom is doing great at Brookdale Chandler Ray Road! The staff is friendly and has been available for immediate needs.
She enjoyed it. I can see how others may not. Older facility but clean Had few issues with a couple employees but most staff was friendly. Had a few major issues at the end. Night shift nursing staff didn't really attend to her comfort. Constant change in cooking staff. Most residents didn't care for the food prepared Had a great activities director. Definitely catered to the residence desires. Definitely more expensive than the service and the facility warranted. It has now been over a year since my mother has passed. If there has been a change in the nursing staff, I would recommend. If there has not, I would not.
