I put my loved one here thinking this would be a good fit, in my opinion I was very wrong. She doesn’t receive the attention that is needed. I don’t blame the staff, it’s the management. She has been there for a long time and I believe this facility is completely understaffed and mismanaged. The food has been below sub-par. I think the facility bills people for services not rendered. If I could do it all over again I wouldn’t. I would look for a local group home, a local business that isn’t in it for making a profit. If I could do it all over again I wouldn’t. I would look for a local group home, a local business that isn’t in it for making a profit. I used to have the opportunity to visit but since haven’t, but when I did I felt very bad and guilty. Management appears to deny all concerns with the conditions of this facility. I feel like I get the used car dealership experience here…
I feel very fortunate to have found Brookdale Tanque Verde at the right moment for my loved one. The facility itself is very comfortable and well laid out, with a home-like feeling. More importantly, the leadership and staff seem to genuinely care about each resident as an individual, not as an invalid. The care team works extremely hard to create a clean and healthy environment, partners exceptionally well with family members, works to keep residents active and happy, and treats all residents with dignity.
Brookedale on Tanque Verde and the one on Speedway have helped my entire family through this process. It's not easy and it's a lot of choices to make for your loved ones. They have support groups and staff that are all involved with everyone's welfare. I have never felt my family or I lacked information involving our parents.
Great people and great care. We are very happy!
My wife has been a patient at Brookdale Tanque Verde for just over a year. She has been treated with dignity and care throughout her progression with Alzheimer's Disease. .
I like that Brookdale is all-inclusive. There are very few things for which they charge extra. Also, having medical professionals that come to the facility is great. Also, forgot to mention the monthly memory care support group. Great to learn and talk to others that are going through a similar journey with their loved ones
We have had a great experience at Brookdale. It was a good place to land. We appreciate the kind staff who take great care of our Mom. She is happy living there and we enjoy visiting her and spending time with her at Brookdale.
The management and staff went above and beyond our expectations, when we needed to move my Dad for more care. They answered all our questions and made sure that it was the right place for my Dad. They were kind, compassionate and understanding. They listened intently to our concerns. Brookdale is clean and smells great. It has a “homey” feel for its size. I witnessed caregivers gently stroking the hand of an anxious resident and another gently guiding and then re-guiding a resident to the dining room with love and patience, before my Dad even moved in. A positive atmosphere starts at the top with the attitude of the leadership and this is where Brookdale succeeds.
