Beginning with our arrival with Dad, to be admitted to Crossroads Assisted Living, the staff was extremely accommodating and went above and beyond in making Dad feel welcome. The staff was professional, courteous and accommodating. They were personable and friendly with all the patients and visitors. The grounds and facilities are well maintained. I observed that they treated all their patients with care and affection, like family. They were very compassionate. I highly recommend Crossroads Assisted Living.

Crossroads Assisted Living is an excellent facility with compassionate staff, a clean and welcoming environment, and outstanding care. Highly recommended.

In October if 2024, just a few months after. Crossroads was reopened under new ownership, we moved my Mother in law in to house 2. It quickly felt like a home. She was well cared for and loved by the staff. They treated her as their own mom or family. We loved that almost every care taker was bilingual. This was comforting to my MIL since her first language was Spanish, and completely fluent in English. We were always so welcome when we were at the house. We could come and go to visit as we wished. This was comforting to my MIL since her first language was Spanish, and completely fluent in English. We were always so welcome when we were at the house. We could come and go to visit as we wished. There was always a place to sit and visit and even bring a meal and eat together. We never worried about my MIL being clean, well fed, getting her meds, or any personal needs. She was cared for each day with respect and love. We can’t say enough about Rocio and her staff. Thank you for loving mom and caring for her as your own.

Crossroads is an incredible facility. They treat all there residents with such love and compassion. There communication with family is top notch. I am so grateful that we have a facility in Tucson that offers such wonderful care. Thank you crossroads team for all you do!!

Highly recommend this place, the cleanliness, the attentiveness of all staff members, and the willingness to help from all employees was beyond me. They take such good care of my love one, and I love spending time here. 10/10 all around.

Great environment for our loved ones, staff is very caring, house is always clean and the patio is beautiful. Highly recommend if looking for a place for your loved one to be taken care of💕

My mother was a Crossroads resident from 2015-18. she received excellent, compassionate care until the end of her life. My mother-in-law was a resident from 2020-23. I am revising my previous review because the quality of care has gone from stellar to seriously, dangerously bad. The grounds are beautiful. The houses are clean and pleasant. The food seems decent. Unfortunately, the care is terrible, due to poor management, disorganization, and non-existent communication (internally and with resident’s families). We were very patient and supportive all throughout the COVID pandemic, as this industry was one of the hardest hit, but as COVID was waning, things just got worse and worse. The Director does not appear to manage the staff, which would be ok, except that no one else is really in charge. The very competent business manager left the state and now works remotely from the east coast, so no direct oversight there. The best, most competent caregivers leave shortly after they are hired. In the past couple of years there has been a revolving door of temps and others who don’t stay long enough to know what’s going on. We would speak to management and staff about care issues, then the next time we came there would be another new person who would give us a blank look. These were simple things like “please give Mom these hydration drinks we brought”, or “please make sure she is not allowed to have pounds of candy,” then we find pounds of candy in her room, given to her by another resident, over and over for months. These things may seem minor, until your loved one’s teeth start falling out because she’s been given loads of sugar and hasn’t brushed her teeth in weeks/months, because no one was monitoring the activities of daily living (ADLs) of a person with severe dementia. If she was diabetic, she would probably be dead. It seems that nothing that we communicated over and over again to management and everyone who would listen was documented or disseminated. When we took my mother-in-law out of Crossroads, they said she had a little cold, but it turned out to be aspirational pneumonia. We were later informed by a physician that one of the main causes is poor/no oral hygiene. All of this pales in comparison to our most horrifying experience, which was going by for a visit and finding the caregiver absolutely wasted on drugs and/or alcohol. She was a complete wreck and couldn’t quite walk or talk, let alone care for anyone. There was no higher management on duty to even discover this, until we called the director’s mother, who came over and said “maybe she’s just hungover”. She said she would address the issue, but we never heard another word. In fact, there has been no proactive communication whatsoever from the facility, other than the monthly invoice, and occasional notice of changes to the visitation policy during COVID. They completely failed to get COVID boosters for residents, until my husband the social worker called Pima County Congregate Care, who then came out within a couple of days. Three different primary Nurse Practitioners were all having difficulty getting their simple prescription orders and other clinical directives to the right place (as in, no one noticed it was in the fax machine). We waited days and had to call various staff in order to get them to locate a prescription for Mom. Crossroads is mismanaged to the point of being dangerous. We’ve heard very similar concerns from other resident’s family members. There are better options in Tucson. Also, FYI - at least five of the 5-star reviews are from Crossroads employees and family.

My mother is in the memory care unit there. They take very good care of her. Everyone that works there is very kind and helpful.
