I moved my dad in on a Wednesday. He died on Sunday. Four nights. He was neglected until he died. Yes, I paid for the “extra” care. When he got there he had his and his deceased wife’s gold wedding bands on a chain around his neck…which he never took off. When he died (FOUR NIGHTS after he arrived) they were nowhere to be found and Glassford place had “no idea” what I was talking about. There is no doubt in my bones that the wedding rings were taken from around his neck while he was suffering. I do not have my father and step-mother’s wedding rings that were his precious last mementos.…

There is no doubt in my bones that the wedding rings were taken from around his neck while he was suffering. I do not have my father and step-mother’s wedding rings that were his precious last mementos. Someone at this facility stole them off my dying father’s body. I have, truly, never dealt with such a place. I’m talking about how I was treated when I was signing a contract to pay them $7k+ per month vs. how I was treated four days after my dad got there. Shame. Shame on Glassford Place. If you love your family member and are considering Glassford Place…keep looking.
I've been to Glassford Place at all times of the day and night; it's always clean. The staff treats the residents with the utmost respect. They get to know the names of each resident and treat each resident like family. They also get to know their likes and dislikes. My mother feels safe, which eleviates our worries that she's safe.
Very friendly and professional staff. Always very clean. Meals r well prepared and tasty. They r prompt when my mother in law presses the call button. The staff is attentive to her needs. They even set her up with a PCP, so she does not have to travel to the Doctor. They do a great job here. !
A very happy and accommodating place for your loved one. They have many activities - staff is very accommodating Your loved ones will feel appreciated
Relocated my father here, love the small community staff goes above and beyond they are so caring and very pleasant! I'm bringing my dad closer to me as I live out of state but I am really going to miss the staff as well as the residents. They made my dad and I feel so welcomed and comfortable. Thank you all so much you feel like family!!!!!!
Its been a year since we were there, but we would give the overall experience a 5. Glassford Place was very quaint and well managed, while my mother in law lived there. We moved her because she is too active, and the facility is more restricted.
Safe facility, the workers are great and work hard, just seem to be shorthanded. Would like to see more organized staff led activities.
I would not recommend Glassford Place. Their corporate policy seems to be "never have enough staff".
