My Dad went to Haven to recover from a Stroke. He was misdiagnosed with having ringworm after contracting it from within the facility and placed in isolation. Haven Gave my dad little to no rehab from within his small isolated room and he started to decline and Medicare withdrew him. On May 29th 2026 we lost all Appeals and I went to pick him up. I was told he could walk 400 feet in a walker and transition to a wheelchair. Upon arrival I found my dad in a catatonic state sitting slumped over in a wheel chair in his room and later immediately took him to Lake Havasu regional Medical Center,…
Upon arrival I found my dad in a catatonic state sitting slumped over in a wheel chair in his room and later immediately took him to Lake Havasu regional Medical Center, where he was found to have internal bleeding, suffering from Heart failure, and had multiple strokes over a period of time. There were outwardly signs present that should have been caught by staff and immediate medical attention should have been sought sometime during the last two months but was not. My dad passed away eight days after leaving Lake Havens House of Horrors. He was a veteran and I post the flag draped Gurney as a sign of respect to my father and is time in the military, and I held his hand so he would never have to be alone again, as I have extreme remorse for sending him to this house of horrors. If you value your loved one, you would not send them to Haven health rehab. I went there to bring my father home to my mother, and instead he went immediately to the emergency room and later to hospice and then to Heaven all because nobody sought medical attention for him beyond me traveling from California to Arizona to bring him home to Mom. Lake Havasu PD, ADHS, APS are all investigating for neglect.. I won’t stop until this place is permanently closed Thus protecting the vulnerable from being harmed. RIP Dad I love you and I will continue to tell your story and to be your voice since they silenced yours voice.
My dad has had excellent care. The staff has been extremely helpful and has answered all my questions and concerns. Thank you for taking care of my dad .
I was at Haven of Havasu for 2 weeks following femur surgery the people were all very kind and friendly. The therapy people were great very helpful. They all tryed to help you weather it was their job or not. Meals were mostly very good with the exception of a few, deserts were yummy 😋..some elderly residents were given showers late at night then sent to bed with wet heads (hoping this practice has changed). All rooms are shared. I would stay there again if I had to.💕🌷
I think the staff and the facility is rated a five-star all the way. I have not seen a more happy group of people that are limited ability and the staff smiles and takes care of them. God bless all of you and thank you for your kindness 🙏💗
it’s taken me awhile to write this. My sister was there late 2024. she was for rehab after a bypass of the arteries in her leg. She had good pulses and color in her leg. They ended up sending my sister to the emergency at Lake havasu hospital, the nurse that received her told us it took her nearly 2 hours to clean her up and wanted to cry. The nurse did turn them in to APS. Bottom line is they flew my sister to Vegas, my other sister flew to vegas and pulled the cover off her leg, her leg was black. This was due to lack of care at the rehab. My sister ended up with having her leg Amputated above the knee only to pass away about week later. Avoid this place.
All my Veteran I have brought here LOVES IT. AUWSOME Personnel. If you need Inhouse medical services, Don't go anywhere else but here, you won't regret it. Doug Davidson, Founder VETERANS HONORING VETERANS at The VIEWS
The bottom line for Haven is profit, not residents and/or patients. Definitely would not recommend.
Haven Health skilled nursing unit was exactly what I needed after surgery. The professionalism and compassion by the entire staff was overwhelmingly positive. They appeared to be fully staffed with highly skilled and trained Registered Nurses,, CNA’s, Physical and Occupational Therapists, monitored by Physician’s Assistant and on site Doctors. I like to describe my experience as a cruise ship in a parking lot! The facility is set up with multiple common areas, and even smaller nooks to motivate a person to ‘get out of bed and get out of your room!’ They have an activities director and numerous activities and guests which provide live music, bingo, cards, crafts, donut day, ice-cream socials, manicures, movies, story telling, Bible Study, and much more. I found the solitude of the Library so comforting and conducive to getting lost in a novel. Visitors and families are welcomed and there’s areas inside where kids can play, and even outside with a putting green! On a daily basis you are provided 3 meals either in your room or in the common dining room. The dinning room is open 24 hours in case you want to go get some hot cocoa, tea or coffee. Early risers or night owls are always welcomed to congregate there! I’m a picky eater, but I enjoyed most meals and there’s always the Ala Carte menu too. It’s good to bring some of your favorite snacks and sodas along with you. ( you can order take out too! ) Housekeeping is phenomenal! Like a cruise…your room is cleaned daily. The trash and the shared restroom is cleaned multiple times a day. Laundry service is free and generally returned the next day. No need to over pack. The rooms are shared, but you do have your own bedside dresser and closet space. Showers are twice a week, however you are issued a ‘self’ bathing kit to freshen up, with everything from shampoo, mouthwash, to nail clippers! Transportation along with an accompanying attendant to doctors visits is also provided. You’re not just simply dropped off. What really impressed me the most besides the professionalism and high standard of care was the ‘clear communication’ and the ‘emotional’ climate! The entire staff seemed to be happy and contented! I mixed with all sorts of levels of patients…,and they too seemed contented and friendly. Truly an atmosphere that promotes total wellness! You deserve the 5 STARS 🤩 Thank you Haven Health !
