My beautiful grandmother stays here, and as someone who has worked in hospice, nursing homes, and home care- this facility is absolutely astounding. • Amazing community opportunities • Dining that’s delicious, well balanced, and elevated enough for family to feel comfortable when they visit. •well qualified exercise staff •accessible gardens •pet friendly •short term rentals available on site for family •different options for different stages of life or needs & finances I’m grateful that’s she’s in a spot with employees that care. I can only hope to be so lucky one day. Well done, La Posada.
No he tenido la oportunidad de visitar La posada, pero mirando en el internet Me encantaría pertenecer a ese grandioso equipo de trabajo porque se ve que exelente todas las actividades que hacen, lo dicen las caras de felicidad de los habitantes de la posada.
The one that we thought was the best was La Posada at Park Center. There's no restaurant or mall near there. It's basically by itself just outside of Green Valley. They have two apartment complexes, several garden homes, and then individual homes. It's a CCRC. It's a top-notch place. It's much newer than the other place but the same kind of class. The streets are all paved. It's in the middle of a pecan orchard, so there are lots of trees and green grass. The apartments are large. Some of the garden homes are small or broken up with lots of walls which we didn't care much for. The apartments…

The streets are all paved. It's in the middle of a pecan orchard, so there are lots of trees and green grass. The apartments are large. Some of the garden homes are small or broken up with lots of walls which we didn't care much for. The apartments were sunny and open with lots of windows. The place is well-kept, but it's also very expensive. It costs $400,000 to get into it. They're very nice people. They're very service-oriented. They showed us everything that we wanted to see. Besides, we have several friends that have already gone there. We visited them in their homes. We've had two people that have been there for over 10 years and they're in their 90s. They have a nice rehab facility and they have also memory care and anything else. The dining area is very nice. The chefs are very good. You can order anything you want. Depending on the program you're on, you can get all your meals or you can get one meal. Each apartment comes with one meal and if there are two people, they had $600 a month or something like that for another person. The food is very good. We've eaten there several times with friends, but we also had lunch there when we took the tour.
La Posada is great for the most part but there a few things that you and your family should know. They offer to help take care of everything, like selling your home, car, etc., but make sure you have a trusted family financial professional or lawyer review everything before signing as they do take a chunk of not only that, but your personal savings and nest egg. My mom had about $300k in savings and passed away, so La Posada's arrangement is that they retain the money no matter how long your family lives there. For mom, it was under a year so there was nothing left for her kids.
I'm living in La Posada. I'm in an apartment, we have quite a variety. We have garden homes, those are smaller, and then we have apartments, and I have like 1,300 square feet with two bedrooms, two-baths, and a flex room, which is like a little office. It's just wonderful here. It's like a campus, they have an outdoor pool, an indoor pool, and we have a tram to get around things on campus. They have everything on campus here too, and buses that take you to the theaters and the University when you're very near Tucson, which is very nice, and near the University of Arizona. They are very good at hiring people, most of the people like the dining people. We have terrific food here, and actually we have -- except because of the virus it's closed now -- we had a five-star restaurant here too. But most of the people, like the dining room and the cleaning people, the dining people are mostly high-school kids, and students at the University of Arizona. We give a lot of scholarships, and it's like a high priority to get one. And for the kids to get a job here, they're really great. As far as the other staff we have a nurse on duty all the time, and then we do have assisted living too, and a memory place. It has lots of palm trees, planting, and a lot of facilities here. I have housekeeping once a week, and I get one dinner or lunch every day. I think across the country they're rated pretty high, but you have to buy in, and they keep 30 percent of what you pay to buy in when you leave. The weather is wonderful of course, I have a mountain view. I'm on the second floor and they have like, I guess they call it a balcony, but here it's a screened-in porch where I have some of my white wrought-iron furniture, so you don't get claustrophobic. It's a wonderful place.
I've been to La Posada Arizona as a visitor because I had friends or acquaintances there. They were very happy. My sister-in-law was there and I had a friend there also. I was very comfortable with the service that both of them got, and they were comfortable with it also. It was very neat, clean, and professional looking. We were very pleased and I'm basing my comment partially on their satisfaction. Their food is very good. I've eaten there several times. Every chance I get, I eat there, and they have a wide array of choices there. It's a lovely place.
I have lived at La Posada for nine years in Independent Living I love the many activities that keep me moving ,so I can enjoy a quality life in my 90s. I participate in Sit and Be Fit, Yoga, Balance, and Meditation classes. Excellent food. The staff has been welcoming and kind to me. My small apartment I have made into a home that I love. There are apartments, garden homes, private pavilion homes are currently being constructed. A Concert weekly, lectures, I find it easy to be a life- long learner here at la Posada.
My parents are both here, all of the staff are great and the campus is absolutely wonderful. They have a genuine concern for the residents. I may have to move away for work but I will have peace of mind knowing my parents are well and someone is there to help. They keep open communication and understand what the family goes thru when their loved one ends up in a hospital. My mum had to go somewhere else for intense physical rehab but she talks about LP everyday. This time of year they have beautiful wild flowers blooming.
