My mother was only there for two weeks. She had hospice care for that time. She never ate meals or interacted with any of the other residents. The length of time that my mother was there. I was there a good portion of the day. I feel that can't tell much about the food smelled good. Look good. The location for me was great and [name removed] I think her name is [name removed] The manager was wonderful and went out of her way to help because we were on a crunch to find a place for my mother under the circumstances, there are very few places that take someone with a catheter. She had no problem with having that, and the staff took care of it. Great. The ladies who lived there and the one gentleman seem to like their and we're very friendly and sweet. The home that my mother was in was very nice. I am so sorry that she wasn't able to appreciate it. She was at that point where she just turned everybody off Kind of didn't wanna talk. Didn't wanna interact at all. I hope this helps but I do feel that it is a nice place for people to go, and the price was decent under the circumstances. She needed a little bit more care and we did have hospice come in and they took care of most of everything.

My mom has been at Park Senior Villas in Tucson for several months so far. We visited many facilities in the area and It is overwhelming! Park Senior Villas met our expectations. Small number of people in a home like setting. Family setting for meals, meals are cooked by caregivers. (residences are eating together for their 3 meals), not isolated. Clean and well taken care facility. I am informed of any medication changes or illnesses that my mom may need or have. I realized I wasnt going to find a perfect place for my mom, but I got pretty close.

This is based off of our experience almost two years ago. I am not sure if things have changed. My father went in to the Villas at Houghton in July, and by February he had died. When he went in, he was able to do all his activities of daily living. Within seven months, he was in diapers and could not get out of bed. he fell several times without staff noticing he was not given his antibiotics as prescribed. They washed his cell phone three times which I had to replace and he never had water or his eyeglasses. I put a camera in his room so I could've observe him. There were a few times when I…

They washed his cell phone three times which I had to replace and he never had water or his eyeglasses. I put a camera in his room so I could've observe him. There were a few times when I had to call staff and let them know that he had fallen. They took the camera out of his room and I had to fight to have it replaced. They finally replaced the camera. I visited my father every day, but it still was not enough to guarantee quality care. The facility was short staffed. They were supposed to have two adults per house with 10 patients. Many of the times there were only one adult and sometimes that one adult had to rotate between houses because they were so short staffed.

I love it. The community has changed but still happy where I am. All is good or was when [name removed] was there he has been gone for almost 2 years all I know. My husband had wonderful care.

141 citations from Arizona department of health for the company. Any of the Park Senior villas are missing fingerprint cards, and CPR certifications. Owner and upper management do not care about elderly. Only money.

Dispensed medication incorrectly and inconsistently, never cleaned room or bathroom with fecal matter on toilet and dirty sink basin for 5 days, lost clothes and towels after”laundering” , Meals were not what was on ‘menu”. Never changed bed linens in 24days….I had to do that and had to request shower for my relative because caregiver said it “wasn’t her day to shower”. Caregivers came into room and “ teased my relative” ( a memory care resident) about her not knowing their names and making up names for themselves, staff would bring in their young children and sit on sofa on their phones, when I finally removed relative I discovered open sore on leg with drainage. Staff never addressed or acknowledged this. Absolutely abhorrent “care”.

Things started out terribly here for my dad. They just don't have enough staff to properly care for the residents. When I moved dad in, he was mobile and able to take care of his own basic care and hygiene needs himself. Within 2 months, he had declined significantly. He'd become bed ridden/wheelchair bound and was dehydrated, which led to health issues. I'm scared to think about what could have happened if I had not been there and been his advocate. It's a very small community and I, along with a couple of other families, really had to push and fight to get changes to start happening. But finally, they are. Dad is doing much better now. The food has improved. I will say, the house staff is very good. However, I would not recommend them to others. If I would have been able to move dad, I would have. I'm just glad things are starting to get better. It's so important to stay active in your loved one's care to make change and make sure things are happening the way you think they are and should be.

There is no complaints about the food. They have a lot of activites, which looks pretty goo. They have movies, wheel of fortune, arts, crafts, and exercising. It was the best value for the money. We picked this community because, I like the individual villas, which has up to 9 to 10 people, so it's a smaller community. I like the set-up. It's much quieter. Check it out. I would highly recommend.
