The service at this rehabilitation center is overall not so good. When they received me a gentleman by the name Frank was great! He made me feel comfort and welcomed. The doctor thier had NO bedside manners he was pushy and in a sence made me feel like the medications that I was taking by my specialist were not right and challenged that. There was a black nurse at th nurses station that ignores everyone, but the hispanic young lady that was there waited to see if the black nurse was going to help me and when she didn't, the hispanic lady assisted me quickly. There was a black nurse at th nurses station that ignores everyone, but the hispanic young lady that was there waited to see if the black nurse was going to help me and when she didn't, the hispanic lady assisted me quickly. Now I have to say that thier physical therapy team was awesome. Especially the hispanic young man. Out of all the nurse CNA's Felicia was the most attending during the 2pm-10pm shift. During the morning a larger sized black lady CNA that laughs loud was amazing as well. These two CNA's made sure to check on us and made sure we were comfortable, had nice conversations with us and upon our request acted quickly. To be honest if it were not for those two CNA's I would of rated the facility a 2 star to 1 star. Oh let me not forget the first Elderly lady that I was roomed with was left almost 8 hours without her diaper being changed. I had to push her red button and reminded her that she needs to use her red help button whenever she needs her diaper changed. The smell was so bad that I had to request to be roomed with someone more my age that could walk to the restroom. I feel for the elderly people that are there. If you are looking for a facility to take you or your loved one, please make sure you read all the reviews. The 3.5 rating that my insurance had for this facility was not accurate unfortunately. Hey Felitia!
My sister just fell at that facility because no one was watching her. She has a history of falling, asked to go to the bathroom, and they let her go by herself. When are places like this going to be liable for lack of care and no compassion?😪
I was put in this facility for occupational therapy. The moment the medical transportation drive wheeled me in on the gurney I felt immediate dread and begged him not to leave me there. It is dark, run down and smelled. The equipment (ie beds, wheelchairs) are old and look nothing like the equipment in the photos on the website. The food is bad. They are short staffed leaving patients to wait hour(s) without responses when using the call button. My first night there I called for assistance to get to the bathroom and no one responded, thankfully the wheelchair was left by my bed and I…

They are short staffed leaving patients to wait hour(s) without responses when using the call button. My first night there I called for assistance to get to the bathroom and no one responded, thankfully the wheelchair was left by my bed and I transferred myself into it and into the bathroom. My leg needed to be elevated but the chair didn’t have the leg platform on it so the aid wheeled me out to a store room that had metal shelves and numerous leg accessories piled on top of each other in a tangled mess. She had to sort through the pile for a left side platform that worked. They only have OT/PT evaluations two times a week (Tuesday and Thursday), thank goodness I got in on a Wednesday and was evaluated the next day or I would have had to stay there until the following Tuesday and I didn’t need to be, but Medicare would have been billed for it. I was discharged that Friday after my eval on Thursday. They mix rehab patients with long term ill patients who have other debilitating conditions. Our needs were completely different and my roommate was embarrassed that I was in the same room while her personal needs were tended to. One positive thing I will say is for the most part the aids and nurses are lovely people doing a difficult job with limited resources and being short staffed. I never ever want to be put in Sabino Canyon again!
If I could leave a negative number I would. Social Worker is far from professional, does not answer phone and did not return our calls. We ended up having to go to the facility just to talk to her about a family members discharge. She was not friendly and dismissive.
Untrained staff. My 93-year-old mother picked up a respiratory infection and went straight back to the ER after four days. Don’t put anyone you care about in this facility
My mother was there for a week and I saw some issues. They try hard but appears to be under staffed. It takes a while for the call lights to be responded to. Calls are not returned in a timely manner. I would think twice before using them again.
Couldn't get my mom out of there fast enough. Social Services were especially rude and unhelpful.
I have a very dear friend that was sent here. She is not able to help herself and was sent there for rehab and to help her regrin her strength, so it's easier for her at home. This is unacceptable. I do not understand how these places are allowed to neglect their patients or clients they are sent there.
