I can not tell you how lucky I was to find Dream Catcher Assisted Living for my Mom. Gaile Perry Dixon the owner was more than a friend not only to me but all the families at the home. After looking around at Assisted Living places in my neighbor hood and being disappointed at what I found , Gaile was a breath of fresh air straight from God. My mom was in rehab after breaking a second hip( within two years) Gaile said where is she? and off we went to meat Mom. That commitment showed me what kind of person she was. As a home physical therapist, I have had the opportunity to visit multiple assisted living and group homes. The Dream Catcher is one of a kind. Gaile has made this truly a home a safe place filled with people who truly care for its residents. I have personally witnessed the way Gaile and her caregivers treat everyone they come in contact with like family and I would recommend Dream Catcher to anyone looking for a wonderful place for their loved ones.
I am a hospice nurse who has had several opportunities over the past decade to care for patients residing at Dream Catcher. Dream Catcher is my preferred referral when I am asked by families where they can place their loved ones when they can no longer provide the care needed whether or not on hospice. Gaile Dixon and the Dream Catcher staff offer assisted living that focuses on individual plans of care that promote quality of life, foster social engagement, and stimulate cognitive enhancement. More pertinent to my association with Gaile and her staff is my appreciation of their willingness to coordinate care among their residents, families, and the hospice healthcare team. They are all eager to learn and seek knowledge that will assist them in better serving their residents’ needs. The home itself is welcoming, feels lived in, feels like home … including the comforting aroma of home cooked meals. There truly is no better comfort or care to be found. Having been to 200+ assisted livings in the area, to which assisted living would I send my own parents? Dream Catcher. My name is Father Nick, and I own a home health hospice agency, and I have been everywhere. What's the Dream Catcher difference? They really care (Everybody says this, but its not true). The caregivers treat residents like family. The food is restaurant quality. The ambiance? It feels like a real home! Take it from me, just go with Dream Catcher the first time.
