When you live on the other side of the country, as I do, you need to feel confident your parent will be in caring, attentive, and professional hands. My mother, who suffered from MS and dementia, had been cared for at larger, more corporate retirement facilities prior to my moving her into Serendipity in the Sun. My mother was a resident at Serendipity in the Sun just shy of 2 1/2 years, dying peacefully there in August of 2024. When you live on the other side of the country, as I do, you need to feel confident your parent will be in caring, attentive, and professional hands. My mother, who suffered from MS and dementia, had been cared for at larger, more corporate retirement facilities prior to my moving her into Serendipity in the Sun. Realizing she was getting lost in those kinds of places, I wanted a smaller assisted living home where she'd receive more personal attention. I also wanted to relax in the knowledge she was receiving the best possible care. I got what I was looking for, thanks to Serendipity's excellent caregivers. I know that at the end of her life, she lived in a clean, beautiful, and peaceful home with caregivers who treated her with dignity and tenderness. I always felt welcome there. I recommend Serendipity for people who want their loved ones to receive top-notch care.
We are so grateful to have had a safe and caring place for our mother during her final stage of life. We cannot say enough about the professional care and support of the staff during her stay. It was especially comforting to have an RN on duty daily, and the caregivers were always able to help her answer and place calls from us and her friends, in addition to their regular duties. We consider the owners and caregivers to be part of our extended family. The cost for the level of care provided was very reasonable. We wholeheartedly recommend their facility.
