I would like an electric wheelchair, which my insurance company pays for, but the facility said, "No. You can't have one of those here." The other thing is, I'm looking for a private room, not a shared room. The food is fairly good. The staff is nice. The cleanliness and upkeep is good. There's not much to do here except TV. The bathroom is handicap enabled. There's a guide bar.

We found a loving place. There are men at this facility and the house manager cooks fresh everyday. Dad can handle most of his care, he just needs prompting and supervision. He has a roomate that gives Dad some companionship. The house manager creates a warm, safe environment. Dad seems better mostly with someone cooking for him and very little stress. His Alzheimer's will not get better, and that is still confusing for him, but all in all a better situation. These are the qualities we looked for. My husband and I saw fancier places but less attention for a client in Dad's position.
A very warm place, a little old but full of caring. The manager, Maria is very capable, and helped us get a good price. We liked the quiet calm, clean rooms. Each room had a recliner. The food looked great and the patrons seemed well looked after. Quite a few men patrons, which is unusual and good since I am placing my father.
