We just moved our Son into Ventana Winds and in the short time of less than 2 weeks we are very satisfied with Rafael Ramos, Marketing Consultant who worked tirelessly helped getting the paper work correct. He answered all the phone calls and endless questions. He was supported by the secretary "Denise" always pleasant and helpful. I don't want to forget the Chef "Nacho" who makes outstanding meals authenticated by our son, Mike. We also had a meeting with Abbie "Nurse" who was instrumental in getting Mike's medical issues resolved and med,s delivered as scheduled. All of this wouldn't have…

We also had a meeting with Abbie "Nurse" who was instrumental in getting Mike's medical issues resolved and med,s delivered as scheduled. All of this wouldn't have happen if it were not for a very nice lady, Ms. Holly Erickson who pointed us in the right direction. She spoke highly of Ventana and we followed up! Very glad we did. I know that there are others who make the ship sail smoothly but as of now we haven't met everyone. I am sure that they also will be of character that will reflect on this operation. TO ALL, a job well done, a lot of stress off of our shoulders and a real sense of well being for our family. Thanks, Richard and Kary

My mother is looking forward to living at Ventana Winds! Today we visited to see the apartment she’ll be living in and it was really nice to see all the work that goes into making the apartment fresh and new , ready for mom to make it a home. A big shout out to Randal and his team ! Director Rafael is amazing and goes out of his way to help make this process as smooth as possible. When you speak with him, you feel his authentic heart because he truly does care. I watched closely how people interact with him and and the interactions are respectful, kind and loving….like a big family community.…

Today was also our lucky day because we got treated to lunch while we were there and it was Mexican food day, yay! My family loves Mexican food, so we just had to taste Chef Nacho’s food… and let us just say…he did not disappoint! It was authentic from scratch and delicious! We got to have a short visit with Chef Nacho and he defiantly loves what he does and he and his team prepare wonderful meals for all. You’ll want to buy a meal ticket sometime and join your family member for a relaxing dining experience, with great conversations and really good food!. Once our mom is moved in, we’ll get to meet more of the staff and we look forward to it because we know they will be just like the rest of the Ventana Winds family 😊

First I would like to say this facility has assisted and memory care. The assisted section is where my loved one resides and from Rafael in marketing to La’Tonya the nurse and Claudia the med tech all have a vision of caring and understanding. I was blessed to find such a wonderful place. Their vision and spirit is to help our elderly and people who have a disability that need some assistance with showering, dressing, medication etc. This is truly an assisted living facility that truly cares!

My dear dear friend, Carol moved into the independent living first…the staff was so kind and loving to her, always keeping things clean and especially concerned with her safety. Made sure she had her cup of coffee! When she moved into memory care it was not an easy transition but the staff was again very loving and helpful. She had her cat with her until she could no longer care for her needs, but the staff always took the initiative to aid her. The caregivers don’t get enough credit for all the love they show above and beyond the necessities. One of the absolute cleanest facilities I’ve ever visited. Thank you to all who cared for Carol…she will be greatly missed.

In June 2025, my Uncle Ralph Gentile, also known as Uncle Toodles, transitioned to a memory care facility following a diagnosis of Dementia. The management and staff at this facility have demonstrated exceptional commitment to providing quality care. They are responsive and quick to address any issues that arise. One noteworthy aspect of the facility is its cleanliness; it avoids the unpleasant odors often associated with some care homes, contributing to a more positive atmosphere. Additionally, the grounds are meticulously maintained, enhancing the overall environment. We are very satisfied with the level of care he is receiving.

I've lived at ventana Winds for a year and 5 months. I was one of the ambassadors when I lived here. I really did try hard to bring positivity to Ventana Winds. I tried to be patient, I was told to be patient the whole year I lived there, be patient with the employees because they were new. I do want to say I like the director. I feel for you I wouldn't want your job. I know my review doesn't sound good. I'm saying how it was in my eyes as a resident that was independent. I want to get this out I was not independent. They call you Independent at Ventana winds if you do your own medications. Before I became independent it was really hard to get anybody to help me. I became independent living there. I did everything myself except for cooking meals and laundry, and the little house cleaning they did. The third day I lived there the residents were telling me that the employee's steal. That made me wanted to move on the 3rd day. As time went on it seemed it was true, some residents had there things stolen from them. As time went on, before I was independent before they allowed me to take my medications in my room. I was given the wrong medications, fortunately I knew what every medication looked like, I knew the names, so I didn't take the wrong medication. After it happened about four times I had a meeting with the director. They let me take my own medication. As for the caregivers and med-techs, there's some med techs that really knew what they were doing. 3 that I know of 3 that really took time and really cared about the residents and two of them are not there anymore. One of them is still there I think. Honestly Ventana Winds was the most depressing place I've ever lived. Fortunately I found a place that I feel comfortable in and I moved. I pray for all the residents that are still at Ventana Winds. I made very good friends there, who I call family. The residents check on each other. Because no one else checks on them. If you take your your own medication they don't check on you oh, I take that back, they'll check on you in the middle of the night and wake you up. If you tell them not to wake you up, then they won't check on you at all. I was gone a week and I came back and only a few of the employees knew I was gone. I had a note on my door saying I was gone. I told Wellness I was going away for a week. I came back and the Wellness desk didn't know I was gone. I'm putting one star because I can't put 0. The food tasted like it was cooked in old oil and they serve canned fruit not fresh fruit. The vegetables didn't taste like they were fresh and when they were fresh they were hard, so some of the people couldn't eat them. A lot of times the meat wasn't cooked. I never had a hot meal. When you ordered sugar and cream for your coffee it came late, when you ordered ketchup it comes late and many times at least three times a week you couldn't even get a server. Majority of the time the cups and glasses were dirty, they gave you Styrofoam cups to drink out of. They should have just stuck with the styrofoam cups they're lighter to pick up and they're cleaner.

I toured Ventana Winds. It was very clean. I talked to the director over there, and, when I came in, everybody was eating, and the food smelled good. I didn't try the food or anything, but everybody was happy eating, and they were all out on the tables. Nobody was in their bedroom or anything. It had a nice library. They have very beautiful apartments. They have two different sizes of apartments. One has an extra room, like a den area. The other one has a kitchen, a patio, and a bedroom with a walk-in closet. They served three meals a day. Monica, the marketing director, was very personable. The building, it's like a resort apartment area, and it was just great. It was just like, going up into a nice apartment, and it was settled in a back neighborhood, like a suburban area. It wasn't very old.

Just want to share the photo of this pretty pudding served to a resident who could not see. Kudos to Ventana Winds for such an amazing dining and kitchen staff who still provide the best service to the residents even if the residents themselves may not be able to see the care, the residents can feel the effort the staff do. So we hope the administration can recognize their staffs work and provide them with more support. If this is how well they are despite being understaffed, the more they can continue such excellent work when they are not overworked.
