Elysia and the rest of the staff made my dad's time there very enjoyable for him. They treated him like family not just a resident. They even took video of him doing activities and sent them to me!! They absolutely went above and beyond even during and after his passing!!! I would highly recommend anyone that is looking for a caring place to put your family member you need not look any further!! A plus plus job everyone and thank you from the bottom of my heart!!
Elysia and all the staff at this facility gave my father a place to be comfortable and feel cared for during his last few months before his passing. They welcomed us as well with open arms and made us feel like we were visiting family not a facility. If your looking for a place to call home for a family member you can't do any better than Elysia and the staff here!!! Thank you all so much for treating my dad so well and comforting him till his passing and even going as far as taking pictures for us and keeping us updated at every phase! God Bless you all!!
Since I have been teaching writing to seniors for 7 years, I have had many opportunities to observe the level of personalized care our seniors get by caregivers. I have been in HUD housing facilities as well as the elite retirement facilities. It has always saddened me to see how uninvolved caregivers are to the residents, which is both disheartening and often depressing. Elysia Elton is the opposite of that. She views her charges with respect and genuine, personal affection. She is not watching the time clock or trying to "get through" her day. She is 100% dedicated to her job which she sees as an avocation rather than just a vocation. She has fun and brings a joyfulness which helps the elders feel good about themselves. She create special experiences which bring laughter to her people. If you are lucky enough to have Elysia for your loved one, you have hit the jackpot in loving care.
Just want to let everyone know that you are in great hands. Elysia took very good care of my mom dad and even my aunt for years. You should know that it’s not just a job or a paycheck to her she actually really cares for each and every one. You guys are very blessed to have such a wonderful person to look after you.
For staff and caregivers at Best of Europe We made a wonderful choice when we chose you all to help us with my mom during the last months of her life. We always felt that she was well cared for and I know she ate well. Again, thank you for helping us and caring for mom. Karin & Don
My Mother was in this facility for 2 months, over a year ago. She was in the mid-stages of Parkinson's, mobile with a walker, and alert. This facility is a home with adequate staffing, and they make an effort to make their residents comfortable, and their rooms attractive. The food was adequate. I believe the primary reason that it didn't work out for my Mom was that this type of facility is better for someone who is nearing end-of-life, or has Dementia or related issues. There were caregiver & management interactions that were not positive, and led to a tense environment, which was troubling to my Mom (who was more aware than the other residents) and to me as a visitor. I don't recall much as far as activities, and the one example of entertainment that was brought in was poor, and preachy in nature. If activities and entertainment are important to you, I'd ask to see a schedule.
