My mother is a patient there and has been for a few years. She has dementia and is bedridden. The times I have been able to visit with my mother, her CNA’s have been wonderful and she seems to be very found of them. Unfortunately the last time I visited with her, I was very disappointed with one of the nurses on duty. My mother was very close to the nurses station, and her roommate was out of water and was asking for help from this nurse to get some water. I even asked the nurse for water for this patient, I even brought him her water bottle to be filled. I was there for a couple hours…

I was there for a couple hours visiting with my mother. The nurse never did bring water to the other patient, with me even asking for help with the water. When I was leaving at least a hour later no water was brought to the patient and luckily her family came to visit her. I was able to let her son know what was happening. I only hope he was able to get this issue resolved. I’m letting family know about this issue because we have had the same issue and we had to go to the Centre’s administration and complain about this same problem. This is the only nurse we have had a problem with, he seems to be very concerned about his personal cell phone. He never moved from his chair behind the nurses station even when other patients needed help. The CNA who was working with him seemed overwhelmed by the fact she was the only one on duty that day. I will be visiting my mother soon and will be watching for the same issue and other issues. Family members we need to be aware of this situation and not be afraid of addressing concerns we see. Not only for our family member but also for other patients. Thank you for reading my review. My prayers go out to all of our family members who are living there.
I just spent three weeks to rehab from Guillen- Barre syndrome. First let me give you some positives. My favorite people there were the Physical Therapist Team. They are outstanding. Next my CNA’s were great caregivers. Chloe took outstanding care of me during the day and Coco made me feel taken care of and safe at night. Now for the problems I ran into. In the weeks there several meals were not brought to me. My call light was occasionally on for an hour or an hour and a half. I’d finally go to the nurses station only to get excuses as to why no one helped me. My final problem with a cna…

I’d finally go to the nurses station only to get excuses as to why no one helped me. My final problem with a cna came when she scolded me and told me to take care of my own ostomy. I would not allow her back into my room. I wish everyone a positive experience at Prescott Village and am very grateful to be home.
Since new ownership patient care declined 100%. Wouldn’t put my dog there!!!!!
I am here at Prescott village Rehab. Cory was so helpful for me. She me with getting ready for bed, taking my meds etc. Thank you Cory I appreciate you!
In four days stay, the staff has so far missed delivering one meal entirely, has routinely not answered the call button within a half hour or more, if at all, has pushed non-scheduled meds on the patient who has had to refuse them, has isolated the patient on a presumption of a "stomach bug" unidentified and untested, and has only offered a half hour of PT in those four days instead of the 3 1/2 hours daily she was receiving at the first facility we used. Questions go unanswered. I have watched three nursing staff at the nurses station ignore room calls while chatting at volume about personal stuff, just having a good time while patients go untended. Someone needs to start taking their jobs seriously and pay attention to the folks in their care.
Listen up Prescott people here is a review for you! Here are the facts of Prescott village. It USE to be Good Samaritan. Many of the same great people are still here even though it's under new ownership. I can firsthand tell you that this is by far the best place up here in the Prescott area for long-term and rehab. Why so? Just a few reasons for you.... There is wonderful staff here.. to start with, the administrator Angie is absolutely incredible she is definitely a very kind woman a heart of gold and helps make this place great. Everyone from the kitchen staff, nursing staff, maintenance guys, activity directors, etc etc they have proven over the course of time to really care about the ones that come into this building for help or to make it their home. Most of the staff here show each other with respect and kindness as well. It doesn't matter how fancy the building is or how beautiful the landscape is if the people inside that run it don't have what it takes right? These guys work their butts off sometimes they work long hours and are exhausted by the end of their shift they deserve praise and kindness and respect back. I have been meaning to leave a comment to let everyone know what we have experienced here. We hope that you will also have the same wonderful experience as we have had. If so LEAVE A REVIEW. Lets help them out since you're under a new name and new ownership so people will know 🌲🐞🦋❤️
I went to rehab from what was thought to be a stroke that affected my entire right side. It turned out to be a lesion in my brain. I'm doing much better now. The place itself had large comfortable rooms and an outdoor yard with tables and chairs. They have activities scheduled daily, and the food is delicious... The kitchen staff made it on site, and all of the helpers were phenomenal. The biggest difference from the only other rehab I've been to is that everyone is humble and will help each other for the benefit of the clients. Nurses and CNAs will grab the trash and take it out, helping the housekeeping staff. Everyone stops everything to get the clients down to the dining room so they can be served, helping the CNAs. When someone is finished eating, whomever happens to be around offers to wheel you back to your room. The workers are happy and enjoy their jobs. The rehab personnel are also very good. They are encouraging, but don't force you past endurance. They give you confidence in your abilities. They even come up with ingenious ways to work with special situations! Another great thing was they allowed my daughter to bring me my kitty as it had been weeks since I'd seen her! That lifted my spirits tremendously... but kinda traumatized my cat, so we only did it once. But my daughter brought her dog once too. They have the option of assisted showers or a walk-in deep tub that is so wonderful! My favorite CNA was Marlyn. She would get the hot water ready, and once I was seated, turn it on full blast and put shampoo under the tap for a full-on bubble bath! Another CNA, Dezi, would bring me things I needed and would roll me where I wanted to go. All the CNAs were always happy and cheerful. They had to wake you for vitals but kept the lights dimmed an were quiet so sleep was less disturbed. They have a small library there and several living room areas you can be if you don't want to watch TV in your room. It was such a nice place that when I needed to go into rehab again after several more falls, I chose to go back to them. I would do so again and again.
We moved Mom to Good Samaritan Society-Prescott Village. It's a good facility and the workers are nice. She's been in there before, and so I really liked them. It's clean and they're very efficient. They have a lot of activities, like game days and movie days. They also have exercise classes for them. Their food is very good.
