Great experience here visiting my family member John . He loved living there because of all the cool activities they would do each day . The life enrichment team makes getting older easier by having fun ! Ivy was the best by far in that department . I’m happy to see the changes that were made and getting in new fresh faces to lead them . I would highly recommend The Peaks for your loved ones . They really do care . Have a blessed day 😇

If I could give a "0" I would. My father-in-law had a stroke. The hospital said he needed two weeks of OT, PT and Speech after their physical therapist evaluated him. He has been at the Peaks for 3 days and the "case manager" said he is being discharged tomorrow. She did not help find him a new residence or offer any suggestions, she was rude, spoke over me several times while I was in mid sentence, was demenading he leave and had 0% care in her tone of voice or actions. I've never spoken to someone who is supposed to be a case manager before who literally "threw someone out of rehab" without…

I've never spoken to someone who is supposed to be a case manager before who literally "threw someone out of rehab" without appropriately making sure they have placement to go to. If you value your family do not send them here. I'm speechless with regard to this circumstance. This is truly unprofessional. She treated me and my father in law as if it was not important that he has placement to go to and that it was not her problem. Maybe I am mistaken regarding what a case manager is supposed to do but I thought their job was to find placement.

IF I COULD GIVE 1000 NEGATIVE STARS I WOULD!!! This is the ABSOLUTELY WORSE facility for patients who need rehabilitation I have ever seen. My dad left the hospital on a Thursday. We went 3 times (2hr drive 1 way) ourselves (Mom and I ) and had other family members there on the days we couldn't be. He was NEVER showered, never was able or helped to brush his teeth. When they brought his meals, they didnt even push the tray up so he could get to it. Him and the patient in the same room would push the help button and it would take at a minimum of 30 to an hour for them to respond when he needed…

When they brought his meals, they didnt even push the tray up so he could get to it. Him and the patient in the same room would push the help button and it would take at a minimum of 30 to an hour for them to respond when he needed to use the bathroom. He had fallen before hospital stay (for both lung pulmonary embolisms) and had a big 6x4" raw skin peeled back. And they had not checked it, or changed the bandage. Their reasoning, IT WASNT ON THE MEDICAL REPORT FROM HOSPITAL) SERIOUSLY. Like they couldn't see a huge bandage and ask him. He was dirty and smelled awful. The rehab was 30min on a hand/foot bike. That's it. If you have a family member who needs rehab. DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY!!! He has parkinson, so needed help with every day things. They didnt help do anything. I have never been so angry or see my Dad cry. He said he just wanted to die and wouldn't even eat anymore. And they threw a fit when we went and got him. Said it was against medical orders. AWFUL PLACE AND UNCARING PEOPLE IN THAT GOD FORSAKEN PLACE!!!

This facility is AMAZING!! We have a friend who has been staying here for about a year now. He LOVES it there!! He says it is a very warm place to be!! Yesterday afternoon, we were visiting, and also were invited to the “Happy Hour” they provided. There was live music and dancing, and the room was filled to the brim!! It was SO much fun for everyone, including myself too!! We did have lunch there, the choices offered on the menu really surprised me, and the food was outstanding!! The dining room, food and service made us feel like we were in one of the finest restaurants in town!! You folks really have, providing a place for Seniors, down!! The amount of activities, the “field trips”, and so many other amenities you provide really assures me that our friends is in the right place!!

My loved one has had a very positive experience at The Peaks. As a very social person, the activities keep them engaged and gives them predictability in their day. The staff is kind and has always responded to my requests for help with my loved one.

The meals and dining service is Consistently excellent!!! I most liked the friendliness and professional attitudes of the staff.

BED BUGS!!!! Bed bug infestation!

I moved my very elderly (late 90s) mother from Brookdale to The Peaks in fall of 2023 because there were so many problems with getting the staff at Brookdale to implement my mother's (very minimal) care plan. I read the great reviews of The Peaks and when I toured the facility I was impressed. It's gorgeous. Do not let the beautiful facility fool you. In the six months since my mother has been at The Peaks they have failed repeatedly to do simple, but absolutely necessary, things such as helping her with compression socks that are ordered by her primary care provider and written in her care plan. Even though we are paying for medication management and supervision, they have left medication in her room for her to take "on her own" (which she didn't). According to their own policy, they are to notify me two weeks prior to her medication running out so I can order it from CostPlus Online Pharmacy so her medications are delivered on time. Instead, I was notified today that she only has three days medication left. When I asked what went wrong I was told by their head of nursing "we're only human" (the same thing I was told when they left the medication in her room ), that she didn't know what went wrong with notifying me, and that she doesn't speak in terms of never and always so she cannot tell me this mistake won't happen again. She did promise to meet with staff and make it "Barney simple" - whatever that means. Also, if you're considering having your elder loved one live here, or if they already are, please check how much Saliba's pharmacy is charging. I was told when my mother moved in that I had to use Saliba's (that is not true) and when I found out that medications I can order online for $15.00 for a 90-day supply were costing my mother over $180/mo I just about flipped. Nothing like price-gouging our elders on their necessary meds. The nurse today told me that of the over 120 residents at The Peaks less than 5 use online pharmacies and the rest use Saliba's. I know it's hard, but please do your due diligence and price compare for medications. Saliba's is NOT your best option. I know there are limited choices for elder care in Flagstaff, but please don't let the glitz of The Peaks fool you into thinking you or your loved one is going to get consistently great care. That has not been my experience at all.
