Dianne took old Time pictures of my Husband & Daughter was so nice of her to do that . All the caregivers go beyond their duties , my husband’s been there over 3 years & doing good
I recommend this facility for a loved one in need of Memory care. The staff is caring and patient, and my mom was treated with compassion and respect. The activities for brain stimulation is daily, the food is good and there are special activities where families can get involved with their loved ones to make some memories monthly. There is not a lot of choices for memory care in our area but this facility is a good choice.
We recently lost our Mom due to Alzheimer’s so now I feel is a good time to leave a review. My sister and I were so hesitant to put my mom anywhere. But luckily a room became available at this wonderful home. Our Mom became a wanderer so she was placed in a secure area, where she could not escape like she tried to at my home. I was very hesitant at first, since a lot of her personal items was not allowed Once my mom was there I finally understood why. What we realized is there was a reason for everything, and soon we knew she was in the right home. My mom was safe she was cared for and she…

I was very hesitant at first, since a lot of her personal items was not allowed Once my mom was there I finally understood why. What we realized is there was a reason for everything, and soon we knew she was in the right home. My mom was safe she was cared for and she was loved. I can’t say enough about the staff who goes above and beyond caring for all of the patients there. They definitely put up with a lot and somehow keep going with a smile on their face. Regardless of my mom‘s memory, she knew she was loved. When my sister, myself or my husband couldn’t be there to check in on her we always knew she was in good hands. A lot of the staff became like family and we were so grateful. A lot of laughs a lot of tears. Plus, a lot of great memories. The activities for these people were amazing. Though my Mom couldn’t partake in some activities she was included to observe and enjoy. In the last few days, all of the staff, were so caring to my sister and I, but especially to my mom. Which made lasting memories. This wonderful caregiving facility has really stepped up its game. And we are ever so grateful.
Horrific place! After only 10 days under their care, my husband was transported to Verde Valley Medical (wearing someone else's clothes as they had taken his clothes away from him and put them in an overflow room). He was severely dehydrated. The dehydration caused acute kidney injury, and eventually, multiple organ system dysfunction. After five days at Verde Valley Medical, he was transferred to a different facility, under hospice care, and died seven days later. I believe that my husband death was due to their neglect.
My wife has stage five Alzheimers and is a current patient in Verde Valley Assisted Living and is being treated very well. The food is well prepared and delicious. They have plenty of activites and road trips for residents. I can take her out and bring her back any time. She never complains and seems happy to be living there.
Good neighbors, awesome staff
I had a family friend there for alittle over 2 months. First of all the one time fee of $1500 for upkeep on property is ridiculous it’s an outdated dump. I was not notified of some incidents by management, I found out by staff when I went to visit..that my 82 year old friend had been in a altercation on one incident and another he wrote me a note that I never received stating he wanted to die. When I confronted management as usual they knew nothing about it. Then my friend had a massive stroke in middle of the night and was taken to Cottonwood hospital where they air vac him to Phoenix. The assisted living home left me a voice message that he had been transferred to a Phoenix hospital, when I called the home they didn’t know what hospital after several calls I found him in Phoenix. Not one time did anyone from home call and check on him, but when I called the home they said they would take him back. Their communication is horrible they do not return texts, emails or phone calls. When you speak to Monica or Melissa in administration they always say ..oh I was not aware you were trying to reach us..one excuse after another. The final straw I called and asked if we could be reimbursed for last 5 days of June as he was staying in Phoenix they said yes it takes about 30 days, I called in July to check on status and Meliss/Monica we will check on it and get back to you..after one month I call August 28 and ask the ladies again oh we will check on it and get back to you finally I called September 8th after being out on hold for 15 minutes they replied you don’t get a refund you didn’t give us a 30 day notice..now how I can give a 30 day notice when he was air vac to Phoenix. This place is a joke..its outdated, the 2 office ladies Monica and Mellissa will not communicate at all with you snd if you get a chance to talk to them they say the same thing all the time (I was unaware you were trying to get ahold of me) I didn’t choose this place he was put there by Flagstaff Hosputal snd when I read the reviews and on my first visit, I didn’t like this place. I feel sorry for all the residents there. I would not recommend this place st all
I suffered severe mental & emotional abuse from several staff members & even the doctor. I was refused pain RX's that I badly needed because I refused RX's that I didn't want or need. This is against the law. No one can force another human being to take RX's. One RX they gave me knocked me out cold for between 6 & 8 hours. I refused to take it any more. Another RX they forced me to take was Lorazepam which was too strong of a dose for me & knocked me out also. I suffered from malnutrition while incarcerated there because I did not get enough food. I still suffer from it to this day. Do not go there or send any one in your family there. There is no kind of therapy whatsoever---not mental or physical. They do NOT have nurses on staff 24/7. Only med. techs. The smiling staff seen in photos here are nasty, disrespectful, rude & not at all helpful. Mgt. did nothing to help me while I was imprisoned there. Be careful where you send your loved ones. This is not the place for a rabid dog to be. They also stole personal items from me which were never returned.
